Dropped in for lunch, exceptional sushi and a-la carte menu! The crab was extraordinary on their signature rolls! The food so fresh, perfectly presented and staff friendly and welcoming. The restaurant decor and feel is great – we were spoilt as not busy at all (especially with Mardi Gras on this was bliss)

From the first bite, this experience was exceptional. The menu truly offers something for everyone, and while I didn’t get to partake in the omakase on this visit, every dish I tasted reflected the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. The fish was impeccably prepared and melted in my mouth. Definitely try the scallop crudo and surprisingly the Brussels sprouts! Omg Yummm! Can’t wait to return and get the full experience next time! The rolls and lamb chops looked amazing!
The Vietnamese coffee tiramisu was the perfect ending to the meal. Our attentive server expertly guided us in selecting a bottle of sake, White Lotus is highly recommended!
Truly, go and experience it for yourself! You won’t regret it. The food is something special, and you can feel the owners passion in every detail. Paired with the art and energy of the International House, this place leaves a lasting impression. I’m already looking forward to their upcoming Metairie Road location!!

We had so much fun here. There were five of us and it was an absolutely wonderful way to spend an evening. Much of the success of our outing was nice to Melanie, our server. She was so delightful and helpful and had a great sense of humor. She was very helpful and helping us pick out our food as well as our drinks. Service was extremely prompt. We are all sushi eaters and have had a lot of experience all around the world and feel that this was an exceptional outing for us. The sushi was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is decorated well. I would definitely come back here again when I am in town highly recommend, ask for Melanie.

Tried the omakasi. It was exceptional. Little pricy but that was expected. They have five Japanese beers. Try them in order. The fifth beer has fish flakes in the ingredients.

Let me start by saying the service was excellent. The food was tasty, but the Omakase felt very repetitive and much of the same rather than a diverse tasting that one usually expects for an Omakase. For the price point, the atmosphere is not appropriate. The space feels bare and disjointed, as though it hasn’t fully decided what it wants to be. There are chandeliers paired with rustic wooden tables that don’t quite align, and servers wearing workout attire and sneakers, which further adds to the lack of cohesion. The artwork itself was interesting, but it didn’t match the overall vibe, which unfortunately made it read more like inexpensive prints than intentional design. The absence of music and the very bright lighting made the dinner setting feel unfinished rather than curated. While the food is strong, the overall aesthetic and ambiance need significant attention to match the cost of the experience. Our dinner for two not including tip was $258. I definitely expect way more in terms of ambience for that price point. They seriously need to call in a consultant to help them with restaurant design / aesthetic if they want to stay open.

Omakase in Japan the chef selects prepares and presents each course individually, one piece at a time. Here, the fish was pre-cut and prepared for the entire sushi bar rather than served sequentially.
That said, the fish was fresh and high quality, and the chef provided thoughtful explanations throughout the meal. Service was attentive, and the craft cocktails and sake selection were well executed.
Pricing runs on the higher side, including a $9 admin charge that was unclear. Overall, strong quality, but with a few differences from a traditional Japanese omakase experience.

This place is the bomb. It’s probably the best omakase I have had outside of Japan. Amazing sushi with local flavors makes it a unique experience. The talent of Chef Tu, along with his awesome personality and mastery of combining the fish with local and traditional flavors, is not to be missed. This has become one of our favorite omakase restaurants in the world. The entire team was excellent and a shout out to Gabriel. We will definitely be back.

What an experience!
We met with some friends for the Omakase menu and it was well worth the cost. With this, you get 12 or 15 different sashimi options. Each were so delectable and tasted Ike the best quality. They presented about 3 of the 12 at a time so you were not overloaded with a big platter. Highly recommend if you like the raw type. Our server was fantastic and knew every single item that was placed on the table. Cocktails were so good as well and I recommend their off menu rum drink. Decor inside is cozy and modern but very inviting. Don’t sleep on the apps as well and you MUST get the Brussels! We will be back very soon!
P.S. catch happy hour for specials on Brussels and you better get the crispy rice trio!

I was thrilled by my experience here. The atmosphere was fun, but not too loud like other sushi spots in New Orleans. I believe this sushi spot is the only one of its kind in the city, with a quality of excellence into every bite. I’d like to think of myself as a sushi connoisseur as I’ve been to hundreds of sushi spots and hundreds of omakase experiences – this one showcased where the fish was from which I appreciated and the chef gave a great description of each bite to each guest. The chef that night was so cute & bubbly. I could tell the employees were happy & liked where they worked. The flavor of each piece was exquisite. I think for the price we paid it was well worth it and went beyond expectations.
If you want high quality experience and high quality flavor for sushi in New Orleans, this is a must go
