In December of 1995, Robert RJ Vernsey and his son Terry opened Buster’s Sports Bar & Restaurant to serve Ogdensburg, visitors to the area, and our Canadian neighbors. Busters Is Home Of The Best Salad Bar In The North Country! Great little hole in the wall of a place. Salad bar was interesting, but overall the food was good. Solid portion sizes. Staff were also very nice!

Ordered blackened chicken alfredo. Not what blackened chicken looks like at all. Also ordered chicken quesadillas. The chicken and onions and peppers were burnt and had no flavor other than burnt flavor. The salad bar was ok but there is no way to mess that up.

Salad bar was decent. Ordered cheeseburger medium, american cheese. 20 minutes later got well done burger with no cheese. Waitress apologized, took back to kitchen. Cheese added, again cooked more. Returned with very dry, tough to chew, very well-done burger. Couldn’t eat it after trying a few bites. Not in Ogdensburg very often but won’t visit Busters again.

Service was great! Came around and checked on us multiple times. Knowledge about the menu. The cream pie is to die for! Loved it! The quesadilla was full and delicious. The tenders to were tasteful and yummy!

The most delicious chicken in Northern New York, fresh homemade and affordable tasty chicken zings. the staff are very polite and professional service was fast. Food was very affordable and the restaurant was clean and sanitized. Great location to stop for food before entering Canada, you won’t get food this good there.

Buster’s look like a decent restaurant when you walk in but when you sit down you are ignored by the waiters and they don’t say it in the menu but if you choose the soup and salad bar the soup is downright awful you have to pay separate for the other kinds of soup if you want those so it doesn’t include all their soups on their menu which I think they should make clear if You’re expecting good service when you go there you will be highly disappointed because their service sucks they will get your drinks wrong and then not even bother bringing them to the table when given the drink and told that they made it wrong instead they expect you to get up and go get your drink yourself because I don’t know how to do their jobs

Excellent food!!! I absolutely love the salad bar! They are hard to find these days. I love our waitress Jewels she was an absolute doll!! The staff was very friendly! I would for sure come here again! (It’s saved for the future!)

•★• Buster’s Sports Bar and Grill has been an Ogdensburg favorite for many ever since I can remember. My mother’s local league softball team was sponsored by Buster’s Bar and Grill for quite a few years. Every game day that they were scheduled for Buster’s would give a free pizza to any players and their families after the games so it became somewhat of a tradition through out my childhood into my adult years. Their salad bar is always stocked with crisp fresh veggies and is worth the little extra $$ forthe enhancement to a already amazing meal. Tho they specialize in typical sports bar menu options, their appetizers are always yummy and their order to serve wait time is regularly a breeze. With all the cool sports memorabilia to take in and look at, not only am I sure you can find yourself a fave but it is a convosation starter for sure which is a good way to pass the time as you wait for your order to be served. Great food and friendly staff with a welcoming and positive sports bar vibe. ★★★★
