Definitely the best restaurant in Boise when it comes to fine dining. From the artistic storytelling woven throughout the experience, the truly bold flavors of unexpectedly combined and locally-sourced ingredients, the European-style seating, to the humorous attitude of the knowledgeable front-of-house… it was a pleasant surprise to come back after so many years and find a restaurant really elevating the food scene in Boise. I’ll definitely be back.

This was an entire experience, a symphony of flavors, smells, art, and stories. We have been twice and every time we go, it is a completely different extraordinary experience. Service is outstanding and staff are very attentive to everything. I was trepidations on the seating arrangement, however, it is like you are sitting at a private table.

In a way want to keep this a secret…. But this place rivals some of the best restaurants I’ve been to, and those include top 100 in the world. Personally I feel the flavors of every single ingredient shines through. The presentation is perfection. The community feel and small seating makes it intimate and unique. Love the play on stories and art. Can’t wait to explore every new menu!

Little late sharing, but my son brought me here for mother’s day. It was lovely, they had options to accommodate my food allergies. It is a set menu, the food was fresh, inventive and tasty.

We went here for our anniversary/birthday dinner! This place is UNDERRATED! Truly had the best experience ever! The concept is around an artist, this time it was around Sue! They understand her life is detail and curate dishes around her life story! All the art is the background was made by her – paintings/photography! I wish I had the menu that we took from them to include a detail list of what we ate. We had a drinks pairing along with food. They were SO good! Food (from what I remember) – Egg/salad, soup, tofu, palette cleanser, radish and beetroot cooked, and then dessert! (essentially a 5 course meal)! They were all SO good. Even the entrance was like a speakeasy! We enter into a bar and then into KIN!

Absolutely amazing. Such a creative and unique experience. The vision they have for this place is stunning. Prefix menu curated around a creative idea. Each course served with a tie to the overarching creative idea. Incredible food. Locally sourced ingredients. Menu is updated on the regular. Probably the best dining experience I’ve had in Idaho.

100 stars! Incredible food and experience. We came for the last seating which I guess is a little different. The food was unique and delicious. I wish I could describe it all but they were all related to Aesop’s Fables and just kept getting better.
Pretty amazing deal for an incredible dinner with wine pairing.

The best dining experience in Boise, if not all of Idaho. James Beard Award winning chef Kris Komori and his team have created a beautiful and intimate space where groups of people from all over gather to get to experience and enjoy their food. The main dining room is small, so reservations are definitely required. You will be served a multitude of dishes of the kitchens choosing showcasing local ingredients and flavors pairings thought of by the same people serving you the food. The current menu is showcasing summer memories of the staff at Kin and you get to know each dish just as you would the person behind it. The flavors were all in harmonious balance while feeding you plenty to be full without feeling bloated. Most of the food is even plated within the same room you are dining in, and you get to each with your eyes just as much as you do with your nose and mouth. The supper club (the later seating) even has beverages included in the price of the meal and all complimented the food very well. Both the main seating and the supper club are definitely worth a visit, and they change the menu every 5 weeks so there is always a reason to keep coming back. We had a fantastic experience and meal and will definitely be coming back.

Having dinner at KIN is not just about dinning, it’s about enjoying and appreciating the perfect integration of art and fine ingredients. When you are waiting for the start time of your dinner, the gallery style of dinning environment prepares you to what you might be even amazed later. Every dish is inspired by the topic, created with elegant preparations and fused into the art. You should visit here at least once in a lifetime.

Interesting restaurant. This venue is group seating with weird group presentations about the food, but a massive disconnect from the reality of the food. It sounded like they are in the middle of significant turnover and it was unclear why they kept talking about it.
I appreciate any food venue that is trying to be good or great. This location offers 5 tiny dishes as a package that varried from excellent to exceptionally average.
The drink and wine parings were terrible and represented a total failure and misunderstanding of both food and wine.
The size of the servings was insanely small and definitely overall was quite overpriced.
Worth the stop if you just want a random experiment, but they are not ready for the price they are charging.
