This was our first time going to Sarabell Calabar Restaurant & Buffet with the family, and my husband is always craving African food, so we had to try it.

I honestly love this place because you get to try different soups little by little. It’s such a fun experience tasting different dishes and flavors all in one visit. Everything is rich, flavorful, and full of spice.

However… I don’t really recommend bringing small children. The food is very rich and heavily seasoned, and let’s just say it definitely got all over their clothes. Nevertheless, the food is really good. Next time, I think it’ll just be me and my husband.

And I cannot forget to mention how luxurious it looks inside. From the outside, you would never expect it to look that nice on the inside. It truly feels like a hidden gem.

Beautifully decorated, very clean, nice station to wash hands. We went really late, right before closing and a lot of the food was over cooked and dry. The plantains were delicious, the chicken stew and Jollof rice were great. The future was good. But everything else was dried out and a couple things we tasted the flavors were off. Service was friendly and helpful. We will have to come back and try it early in the day when the food is fresher.

Awesome! One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. And I’ve been to so many around the world that I can’t even begin to count! The idea on display here is brilliant, novel, and literally mouth-watering. The array of choice Nigerian cuisines is extensive and the tastes are awesome and great! The restaurant is highly recommended and I will visit again and again!

Service was stellar—especially for a Nigerian restaurant. Rene made us feel welcome, staff were friendly and the restaurant was very clean. The buffet had tons of options and we sampled as much as we could…walking away with a huge food belly. Overall, a lovely experience and worth the price.

Very good food and good service. The atmosphere of this place is amazing, looks recently renovated and furnished. Easily 10/10 would come again.

10 out of 10 food and customer service experience! Such an elevated Nigerian cuisine and atmosphere. I ordered the Fisherman soup to go, and Efo Riro to sit and eat. Both pick up and dining were excellent and the food is on point. The right mix of savory and spice which isn’t an easy feat for a buffet, but they nailed it. Cheers!

SaraBell Restaurant — A Hidden Gem in Houston
Dining at SaraBell was an absolute treat. From the moment I stepped in, the warm hospitality set the tone for a memorable evening. The staff were genuinely kind, attentive without being intrusive, and made me feel right at home.
The food? Outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You can tell the kitchen puts heart into every plate fresh ingredients, thoughtful seasoning, and a clear passion for quality. Whether you’re craving comfort or something a little more refined, Sara Bell delivers.
If you’re in Houston and looking for a place that combines great food, culture, with even better people, Sara Bell ( 9801 Bissonnet street, suite C? Houston, TX) is it. I’ll definitely be back.

I was excited to try this buffet. Honestly most of the soups were okay. Although, a bit more flavor would be nice. Also maybe keep the food a little bit more hot throughout the day. I really enjoyed the pepper soup that was my favorite! 10/10. There is a charge if you don’t finish your plates which I think isn’t fair because you cannot force yourself to eat something you don’t like or overeat. The service was great the lady was very hospitable. I honestly would be likely to return due to the cleanliness and service but if it was just for the food I probably wouldn’t recommend.
