Bread Thyme is a charming Lebanese restaurant offering authentic, traditional cuisine. Our specialty is freshly baked manousheh, prepared in a traditional oven or on saaj and topped with house-made za’atar. We serve a variety of mezze, salads, and hearty dishes, using time-honored recipes and locally-sourced ingredients. We take great satisfaction in the caliber of the food and the daily freshness of everything we prepare. There is no doubt about it: visiting Bread Thyme will give you a genuine taste of Lebanon.

The chicken shawarma was really good, it might be the best I’ve tried in the area so far! Pita was fresh. The spice level was good. The grape leaves were served cold and had too much oil for my liking, but flavor was okay. I wouldn’t order the grape leaves again. I would want to come back and try other items on their menu! They also had a selection of desserts that you couldn’t order online but were in a display case by the register (baklawa and maamoul + a lot more).
Parking was tough, there is a small parking lot behind the building and a municipal lot a bit further down the street. I had to wait a few minutes to get a spot. The other option is street parking with varying time limits, most were 15 minutes immediately in front of the shop.
Gabi is the chef creating delectable Lebanese dishes. Everything is incredible, this is the epitome of fresh and clean food. I have never had Lebanese food before and Gabi loves to take the time to explain his dishes.
We’ve been here a few times and I try to taste something new each time. Today I got a Caesar salad with Kafka on top, which was great, and my husband got the Chicken Shawarma wrap which he loves.
We always get the bread, and today it was fresh out of the oven and still warm. I took a video of my husband breaking it open with the steam coming out, but we can’t put videos on Google reviews!
Gabi’s wife, Joelle, makes these amazing gourmet chocolates. Today we tried their Signature Cup filled with nuts and dates, topped with a heart made out of fig. It was delicious. If you’re ever in the West Roxbury area this restaurant is a must try!
Would like to see large photos of Lebanon and artwork or quotes from Kahlil Gibran. Maybe some fake or real palm plants, as well. Salam!
