We made a last minute decision to stop by Catullo’s Italian Nocatee this weekend. So glad we did. We walked in around 5:30 and it was a full house, so we sat at the bar. (No wait) Of course, as soon as we sat down, 2 tables opened up, so we could’ve sat at a table, but then we would’ve missed out on the excellent service from Chris and Milo at the bar. They took such great care of us and really made us feel at home.
Highlight of the night for me was the pan seared scallops. Perfection! The pear fiocchi was also amazing!
Warm atmosphere, delicious comfort food. can’t wait to go back.

As New Yorkers, we have high standards when it comes to Italian food — and Catullo’s did not disappoint! This was our first time here, and everything was absolutely incredible.
The gnocchi were like little pillows — so light, soft, and perfectly made. Truly some of the best we’ve ever had. The veal was delicious, tender, and full of flavor. And we can’t forget the cannoli — perfectly crisp shell with a rich, creamy filling. The perfect sweet ending to the meal!
Our server, Jimmy, made the experience even better. He was attentive, kind, and such a pleasure to talk to. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests.
We’ll definitely be back. So happy we found this gem!

There is an upscale but not stuffy vibe here. Everyone was super welcoming and genuine. We arrived around 515pm on a Tuesday and definitely tables available but we are more sit at the bar and eat ppl so thats what we did. Chris was our bartender/server and had excellent knowledge of the menu and the restaurant history. He made so many great recommendations along with wine pairings. I almost waivered from my pick of trying the Al Limone scallop dish with the lobster ravioli special Chris was highly suggesting. When I told Chris that was the dish I was thinking of trying, he said OH yeah one of his favorites. I didnt get any pictures of course. My husband almost changed his mind from what we call the amazing pear pasta purse dish with crispy pancetta to one of their newer veal dish but he stayed strong and of course wasn’t disappointed. We will definitely try the veal dish and there is a dish with chicken thighs that we are already trying on our next visit. Oh and we did the burrata appetizer and soo soo good. Finally we took their dessert special to go (toasted coconut amaretto cream thing). Total.meal with 2 glasses of wine, 2 beers, appetizer, 2 entrees, and dessert (which they comped for my husband birthday) was $145 including tax. Would have been $158 if dessert wasn’t comped. Well worth it in our opinion from service, find quality/taste, and ambience. Thanks Chris and the whole crew for a great experience!

This was our 1st time here and certainly not the last. We loved how each staff member was excited about the food. When asked they offered suggestions of their favorite dishes. We landed on ravioli, on with shrimp and the other with the braised beef. The desserts were amazing as well. Jimmy was our server after we were seated from the bar. And I’ll mention that the bartenders that day were amazing also. Jimmy was exceptional with his knowledge of the menu options and was quiet charming. I feel like we made a new friend. We just wish that there was a little more light. It was a bit difficult to read the menus. Update. Thisis now at leas tour 4th. Time eating here. The food is addictive.

Absolutely amazing. I grew up in an Italian family, this food is authentic and full of flavor. Best Italian I’ve ever had in Florida. Will return over and over! Can’t wait to try more dishes. Service was phenomenal.

It was incredible. We went for our anniversary tonight and the service was incredible. We were sat very quickly and the restaurant was pretty much full. We were greeted and checked on throughout the entire meal. We were offered a free dessert for our occasion but we denied due to being full. The food was absolutely delicious. The scallops were a good size and cooked to perfection. The sauce was well seasoned and silky. Our entrees were served with bread to sop up all of that yummy sauce. I cannot wait to go back. Everything on the menu looked like it would be delicious and I wanted to taste it all. I would live there if I could just because of how kind and attentive everyone was.

How have I not left a review for this location yet?! If you’re wondering whether the quality here matches their original Jax location—the answer is a resounding yes!
I came last Wednesday for a small birthday dinner with two foodie friends who had never experienced Catullo’s before. Let’s just say, they were blown away—so much so that they were already planning their return visit before we even finished our appetizers.
Speaking of ambiance, I love the black-and-white accent wall that was added recently. It adds an elegant, upscale touch that enhances the entire dining experience.
What We Had:
A bottle of red wine for the table
Fried Mozzarella (always fresh, never frozen)
One of the appetizer specials: fresh mussels (served with incredible bread that was different from their usual pasta accompaniment—would’ve gladly ordered more just to soak up all the juices but I did not want to fill up on bread)
Three entrées (only mine is pictured: the pear pasta with scallops)
Three desserts (one shown in photos): the featured sorbet and gelatos.
The Service:
Our server was attentive, patient, and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations without ever making us feel rushed. It was clear she genuinely cared about our experience.
We also had a visit from Mark Catullo which was such a treat. He generously let us try the secret housemade limoncello—an absolute delight! Both he and our server went above and beyond to make the evening feel so special, and I can’t thank them enough for their genuine hospitality.
Why I Love Catullo’s:
Beyond the warm, welcoming staff every visit, what truly sets Catullo’s apart from other Italian spots in Jax is its authenticity. The dishes aren’t drowned in cheese just for the sake of an Instagrammable cheese pull—every ingredient is thoughtfully balanced. Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of cheese, but it’s done right.
If you appreciate top-notch service and high-quality, real Italian food, you must give Catullo’s a try. Just remember: they don’t take reservations, so arrive early, beat the crowd, and savor a truly unrushed dining experience with your loved ones.

If you are coming from the NorthEast, Catullo’s may not hit the mark to your taste. The ambiance will, however, remind you of your favorite local Italian Restaurant. The wait staff is also attentive and accommodating.
While my wife’s pasta (gluten free) with red sauce and my daughter’s cheese ravioli with green pesto were satisfactory (huge props for the incredible vegetarian and gluten free options that my family needs), the Scallop Risotto was very mediocre. While the Scallops were cooked beautifully, and the food had good taste, the risotto was mushy like baby food. Clearly overcooked in my opinion. I don’t recommend the risotto if you know what the texture is supposed to be.
I will be back, but not for the Risotto (food overall was a 3.5 if I ignore the mushy Risotto which I would give a 2 and only because the scallops were cooked well).
Suggestions would be to add oil or butter as a standard part of the bread service and to fix the Risotto or don’t serve it.
