Always a great treat whether I’m with the family or not and especially on a hot summer day/night, Cold Stone really hits the spot. But even when it gets cold out, still fun to go to even during a brutal Chicago area winter.
This is probably the one ice cream parlor around compared to others that has a huge emphasis on toppings/creations which is definitely their strong point.
Always a great selection of flavors between their regular year round and seasonal flavors, prices still seem reasonable although the high-end ice cream chain has never really been cheap and customer service remains consistently good in an always spiffy clean/sanitized atmosphere.
CSC obviously does battle with competitors such as Oberweis up the road and Graeter’s. When it comes to taste and quality, this place lives up to the price and my kids are well worth it anytime of the year.
Only con (which doesn’t drag down a 5⭐️ rating) about this place is the parking lot which can be greatly limited especially on wknd nights when nearby Giordano’s gets packed. You may find yourself having to park east across the street from Starbucks and walking a bit of distance.

Super long wait times, unorganized, and rude staff cannot keep up with orders. This Location should also Not be on delivery platforms made my driver wait an unacceptable long time for my order. After canceling my delivery order, I went to try to pick up my order in person and still had to wait a very long time to be serviced andfor my order to be made.Do not recommend going to this cold stone!!!!!!

One of the best, most creamiest, decadent, delicious, tasteful, incredible, mouthwatering, tastebud bursting, delightful, feel-good, turn me to Yosemite Sam, fast disappearing ice cream I’ve ever had! Got so lost in it I forgot to take a picture of the banana bread and cheesecake half and half I devoured one spoonful at a time in that magical parking lot. Oh yeah, the ice cream maker that works there was cool and knowledgeable too. Did I mention you can sample flavors and add toppings?

Boo Batter is very sweet but a cool Halloween treat! The dark chocolate at this location is THE BEST and I add toasted almonds. Super clean, friendly staff, awesome ice cream.

Went into Cold Stone in Gurnee to grab a ready-made cake and asked if they could write on it. The cashier said yes, so I wrote down exactly what I wanted: “Happy 37th Birthday Peter!!”
What I got? A cake that said “Happy Birthday Peter!!” with no “37” and the writing looked like it was done by someone using their non-dominant hand in the dark. Sloppy, uneven, and just straight up not presentable!!! (LOOK AT THE PHOTO) Also, if it wasn’t possible for them to even fit the whole thing why not say so!?
I didn’t even bother saying anything at the counter because I didn’t want to get into it with the cashier and have them tell me it’s too late. If this is the effort they put into cake personalization, don’t waste your time asking for it. You’re better off grabbing a plain cake and writing on it yourself at this point. SUPER DISAPPOINTED……and this cake is EXPENSIVE!! I don’t mind paying it either if it was atleast presentable. It’s like they didn’t even try

Hello, I appreciate the reply. My point is, if your regular decorator wasn’t available and the person doing the writing was still in training, I don’t understand why the option was offered in the first place. I asked if it could be done and was told yes- there was no mention of any limitations or that someone inexperienced would be handling it. And if it couldn’t be done properly, I would’ve appreciated someone just telling me that up front. I would have purchased it with no writing which would’ve been fine. That’s all I’m saying.
It is what it is at this point and I do appreciate you offering to resolve the issue with a 50% refund. Please let me know who I should speak with when I arrive at your store. I will be in sometime in the afternoon tomorrow (6/26). Thank you in advance for making this right.

The ice cream..great had it before but the service HORIBLE.When I tell you I had to order off the app the person delivering my ice cream ATE MY ICE CREAM. The app made me pay up to 10 dollars to order and she ate it ♀️ ♀️ 2 star because the ice cream is good.
