Excellent Breakfast and Dinner at Santé – Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa
While staying at Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, we had the chance to enjoy both breakfast and dinner at Santé, and it quickly became one of the highlights of our trip. The restaurant has such a warm and cozy atmosphere, the kind of place where you feel comfortable lingering over a meal, and every dish was prepared with so much care and flavor.
Breakfast was a perfect start to our days.
★ Avocado toast – fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor
★ Healthy bowl – light but surprisingly filling, a wholesome choice
★ Breakfast tacos – hearty and satisfying, packed with flavor
★ Crab eggs benedict – my personal favorite in the morning, indulgent and memorable
Dinner was just as impressive, offering a refined yet approachable dining experience.
★ Pacific oysters – perfectly fresh and briny, a great way to start the meal
★ Corn soup – rich, silky, and comforting, packed with depth
★ Chicken mousseline – elegant and beautifully executed
★ Dry-aged duck breast – absolutely outstanding, cooked to perfection and truly one of the best duck dishes I have ever had
What made Santé even more special for us is that they offer a pet menu, which our pup enjoyed just as much as we did. It was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel even more at home.
From start to finish, Santé exceeded our expectations. Whether it was a relaxed breakfast or an elevated dinner, the food was consistently excellent and the service matched the quality of the cuisine. Santé is not only a gem within the Fairmont Sonoma, but a destination on its own. I would happily return again just for the food—and so would our pup.

Service and ambiance are lovely. Breakfast standouts are the lemon cottage cheese pancakes, croissant croque madame and the breakfast tacos.

My Husband and I ate breakfast here and I wish we had just ventured out to another restaurant. While the service was good, the food was not. Both my Husband and I both ordered the Fairmont breakfast, (Two Eggs, Bacon or Chicken Sausage, Breakfast Potatoes, Toast, Served w/ Coffee & Juice). My food was not hot at all so I let my server know and said I didn’t even mind if they just microwaved it. When it came back out to me it was warm but so bland… The potatoes have absolutely no seasoning on them, the eggs are super bland and the sausage had a weird texture. I had originally asked for my toast to be well toasted and well buttered but it came out to me barely toasted at all but instead my Husband’s english muffin was super toasted/charred which he doesn’t like so we just switched lol I will say that the coffee had a very nice taste. What really threw me off was when a couple came strolling to their table (next to us) with a dog I love animals but I do NOT believe that they should be allowed inside restaurants unless they’re service dogs which this dog was not. If it’s outdoor seating then great, bring your dog if it’s allowed but indoor dining should be dog free. It’s not fair to customers who have allergies to animal hair or just want to enjoy their meal without the risk of dog hair floating in the air. Or a dog sniffing at their feet ♀️

Truly disappointed. Xmas eve dinner. food was boring.. nothing special or interesting in ANY of our orders.. pork chop, petrale soul, branzino, ahi, shrimp and ravioli.. no sauces, virtually flavorless.
Melissa was a really great server. attentive, accommodating warm and personable. support staff was unaware, missed the mark all night. manager was inappropriately dressed, unhelpful.
no place for winter outerwear, why not?? had to hang on the back of our low back chairs.. inconvenient unsightly and uncomfortable.
luckily we brought our own wine so that was good!
step it up you guys. chef please rethink your recipes.
and please train you staff.. top down!

Great food! (The weekend menu is different). I liked how it’s on the Open table app so can make reservations with app, super easy. Food is good and comes quickly. Enjoyed everything I ordered. Was going to do the “build your own Bloody Mary” but next day it wasn’t set up… only on the weekends. D’oh! My bad, next time.

Beatriz was very understanding when I asked for my steak and eggs to come with a salad and not the frites (even though it sounds amazing ).
But the menu is quite accommodating. Service warm, friendly and not over the top. Steak was cooked perfectly and goes incredibly well with the bernasie sauce!
I definitely will be back to try out more items off their brunch menu.

Beautiful indoor/outdoor space that is perfect for celebrating a special occasion. I informed the staff ahead of time that we were celebrating my husbands birthday and everyone we came across made him feel special. Everything we tried was delicious from the Rosemary Lemon bread to each of our entrees: Lamb Sirloin and Grilled Flannery Beef Butcher’s Cut. I could eat a whole plate of the Rosemary Potato Pave included with my steak. It was so good! Thank you to Sante’s pastry chef for creating a custom cake for my husband and thank you to our server Forrest for making it a night to remember!

Always delicious! Staff is always super courteous and helpful when asked about menu items. Never fails. Love this place! If you are staying at the Fairmont, no need to go anywhere else.
