Traveling for business / looking for good takeout near MSY.
Ordered Generals Chicken off Chef’s Specials. Added pork egg roll.
Good sized portion / more than I expected.
Chicken and sauce were good / flavorful.
Nothing much in the way of veggies (eg just a few small onions). White rice was middle of the road / good. Egg roll was hot, and same as you’ll find from freezer section in big-box store.
Ordering by phone was easy and friendly.
Food was ready earlier than advised (+). Good all around ordering, pick-up experience.
Pricing was as you’d expect.
Solid offering and would do again when back in area.

Must be under new ownership. Food very different. So disappointed. This used to be the best place by far. No spring rolls with shrimp anymore. This was the main reason I loved this place. They used to make fresh made to order spring rolls. Now they have frozen vegetable rolls and they are nasty. Some kind of seasoning in it that I don’t like, something sweet. I ordered Singapore noodles, now has some sort of yellow sweet powder that was not in previous dish. Not good. Used to be one of my favorite dishes. Ordered beef lo mein, very underwhelming. Needs garlic and seasoning. Sesame chicken was ok, has dark meat. Weird. I ordered sweet & sour chicken, the sauce was underwhelming. The chicken pieces were very small. Fried good though. No pineapple in sauce so it was not good. Crab ragoon was great! No sauce came w it though. Shrimp w lobster sauce was too thick. Taste was good. Homeaid mustard is packets. All in all, I won’t be back. Miss the old man & previous family.

I will say it’s pretty fresh… Or re dip. The chicken was way to hard (most of it in the trash) and then I look into and no wonder why. I ask for sauce on the side b/c everyone orange chicken isn’t the same. The orange chicken was more “spicy” than orange. The rice was bomb tho !
