Pretty decor, everything else sucks. Went for a lunch date, server looked at us and ran waited for 5-10 minutes and sat ourselves. Nobody else was in there btw, other than an elderly couple that was waiting when we got there and was sat maybe 10 minutes after we sat ourselves. And then server comes over and has the nerve to ask if we waited to long. Girl yes. Obviously, you ran from us. Time I came in before that she kinda lashed out at my mother because she asked if we got a catus salad with our meal. And the food is some of the worst mexican food in town, sure its always been bland and dry but it was 10x worse this time. Rice was dry, beans were SO bland and tasted out of a can. Actually, canned beans taste better than that. Chimichanga was okay. The only reason I come back is because its a convenient location, but after this past time probably not.

Reviewed this place last year and for some reason Google has made the name of Don Pedro’s in Gastonia all ‘0’s’ so I’m trying this again…
The MOST bland Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. The Pico had cabbage in it! Sent it back. The salsa is very thin like tomato water with chunks of onions. So gross. The refried beans were tasteless and soupy/watery and spread over the entire side of the plate. The enchilada was as long as my index finger. Ground beef inside it and my taco looked dried out and tasted the same.
My friend had to order a child’s plate as they have nothing on the menu al a carte.
I truly don’t know how this place stays open.

Stopped in for dinner last night, and since it’s in a little strip mall, I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much. But as soon as I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. Gigantic art on the walls, high-back wooden chairs carved out of wood, it was a totally different vibe than I anticipated, and in a good way. It was Friday night around 8:00, and the place was packed. Despite that, we got a table almost immediately.
Now, I didn’t care for the salsa. It was a bit too oniony and runny for my taste, but honestly, that’s the only downside. The Birria tacos were phenomenal. The portion of meat was huge, and for around $19, it was an exceptional value. The guys I was with all ordered different things, and they were just as impressed as I was. The service? Absolutely stellar. No complaints there.
So yeah, other than the salsa not being the best I’ve ever had, it’s a minor issue compared to how good everything else was. I’ll definitely be going back.

Today I had a very bad experience, we had to wait long for the food,longer we remain patient,what really got me was that I pay using the card reader transaction went good got my receipt. We exit the building a server chase us outside to tell us we didn’t paid. I went back inside to show my receipt they kept telling me It. It did not go through. I was hesitant because I check my account transactions was precessing. Than before I was almost done paying he said wait you paid already. This could of been avoided by checking the system to make sure I paid or know their system if I have a receipt it should only happen if transaction went through. After todays experience.I may come back but I will bring cash and ask for a paper receipt.

Worst service EVER!! The kids chicken tenders was a Tyson chicken patties cut into strips. And the server short changed my parents $2 so that was her tip! Definitely will not return! What a whole rip off!

Got a take out order and when I got home my burrito was swimming in water and my quesadilla was shoved into its box. Was charged $6.00 for a small cup of guacamole. The shrimp in the quesadilla still had its skin on it and was more cheese than anything else. The two dishes I ordered were charged to be more than what is listed on the menu. I would not recommend ordering take out from here and make sure you check the receipt against the menu.

I orderd 4 carnes asada tacos, they barely had any protein, but the tortillas were hand made which is a plus.
