I’ve been coming to Yen Ching for more than 20 years to get the same meal. Two weeks ago they changed *everything.* Their crab rangoons, which I previously considered either the best or among the best in the area, are terrible. The portions are smaller. The sweet and sour sauce went from tasty with depth to neon red and overpoweringly sweet. Even the rice seems different.
It was a good run, but I wish you luck if your business plan is to decrease food costs by making everything worse. It’s definitely going to cost you some loyal customers. I, for one, do not intend to come back.

Under new ownership. Not nearly as good! They now use corn starch on their stir fry & the marinade is not the same. Portion size is a bit bigger, so what if the food is mediocre. Time to find another Chinese restaurant that is convenient. Too bad!

This used to be my favorite go-to Chinese place but ever since they changed management, the food has completely changed. I just picked up my usual Garlic Chicken and the sauce is no longer savory it’s sweet and tastes nothing like garlic. The crab rangoons which I loved even changed. The cream cheese middle has a weird texture and is sweet now too. Will unfortunately be finding a new Chinese place. Very sad.

Yen Ching is not the same as it used to be. Food is completely different and does not taste good at all. A side always used to be included in the meals and now you have to pay separate for it. Different containers and the quality of food went way down. Will not be going again

The lady thT owns it is rude as heck. Tossed my food at me and yelled at my niece because she exchanged my food for something different because it tastes like upscale cat food with a watery substance in the bottom. I got garlic chicken and it tasted like American chicken with gravy. Absolutely not oriental cuisine. I will never come back to this raggedy place.

I don’t know what has happened to this place but I can tell you one thing they might have the Yen Ching name but this is not Yen Ching anymore. Sounds like it was sold and the new management forgot to get the recipes from the old owners or they didn’t watch how they prepared the food this food is NOTHING like what yen ching used to be do not waste your time or money everything has changed the crab racoons the yenching beef is awful what a sad day I had recommended this to a friend who had never had the privilege of tasting the OLD YEN CHING and how embarrassing this was when he got the food this new management/owner prepared they will be closed before you know it making food like this what a shame

Been eating here for 30 years and I have never been so disappointed to discover the food has changed. It is so disgusting and the new owner is so rude. You lost a long time customer here, we will not be back.

When I say down in the booth, I hit my head hard on a wooden case on the wall. I told the cashier and he not only didn’t ask if I was ok, but said that no one else has done that. I replied that maybe they just didn’t say anything? He should’ve shown concern, but was rude. Then he and the cook conversed in another language, laughing often! My food was quite bland, not having flavor like it did prior when the previous owners ran it. My table was sticky, the soy sauce & salt shaker were dirty. I used to like eating there, but no more. At lunch time near by businesses were busy, but they had no business .. It’s gross so I won’t be back!

Service was good, people were nice, however the food was not very good, didn’t taste fresh and the chicken wasn’t crispy it was soggy, not very flavorful sauce either I feel like they changed a lot since new ownership, and they changed for the worse.
