Food was so good and filling! Perfectly balanced; not too salty, not too many spices – literally, just right lol Will definitely have to go back for their buffet

My most honest review to date. The beans are the worst flavor I have ever had like they cooked it in some different kind of fat. I ordered chilaquiles they are good but a very small portion. My wife had the birria tacos very greasy the consume was not too good. They do have a buffet looks like they had alot of options however with a open buffet like this they should be more cautious with all the flies over the food. 30$ for the buffet I dont think I would pay. There prices are high. Thr staff is great very friendly and on top of there service.

If you’re craving a delicious Mexican brunch, this spot is a hidden gem! They offer a great buffet packed with yummy options, from traditional favorites to standout dishes. You’ll find authentic menudo, a wide variety of seafood, and all the comforting brunch classics done right.
And let’s not forget the desserts, there were so many sweet treats to choose from.
It’s rare to find quality, variety, and flavor like this at such a great price. If you love Mexican food and enjoy trying a little of everything, this place is a must.

Hello this is El Nene with a review of La Hacienda Mexican Grill. First all I would like to say that I placed a phone order which consisted of menudo and home made corn tortillas. I had especially said menudo with no hominy which they didn’t listen the menudo had no flavor not to my satisfaction the home made tortillas where thick not cooked well they broke when I folded them. Actually disgusted at the moment. Sorry not going back ever again. If there was a zero starts option I would rate this place a zero starts

Food took forever to come out with a party of 10 on a Thursday night with no one else in the dinning area, people showed up after us and got there food before us, and when the food came out it was cold and at the end they forgot a simple plate of carne asada fries with just meat and nacho cheese?? The simplest of dishes and they forgot it. Never coming back here again!! You would imaging if your the only ones it’s fast service but thing again!

Delicious food, warm atmosphere, and friendly service!
La Hacienda is one of my favorite spots in Merced for authentic Mexican food. The flavors are fresh and vibrant, and every dish feels made with care. The chips and salsa are always crisp and flavorful, and the entrees are generous in portion without skimping on quality. The staff is welcoming and attentive, making you feel like a valued guest every time. Whether you’re dining in with family or grabbing something to go, you can always count on a great meal here. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great Mexican food in Merced!

We were in town for the weekend and chose La Hacienda on a whim—no recommendations, just an inviting atmosphere that drew us in. And wow, what a fantastic decision!
The food was absolutely AMAZING. The seafood Molcajete was so incredible that I couldn’t stop thinking about it the next day—so much so that we had to return to try more dishes. And we’re glad we did! The fajitas and Mar y Tierra were just as impressive, exceeding our expectations with every bite.
You must stop in for their homemade corn tortillas and perfectly grilled fajitas—they’re an experience in themselves. And even though we were already happily full, my husband (a self-proclaimed flan addict) couldn’t resist trying their flan. It was nothing short of spectacular—beautifully presented, rich, creamy, and paired with a decadent chocolate cake that took it to another level.
Beyond the incredible food, the warm and welcoming family behind La Hacienda makes you feel like part of their family. The service was impeccable, and the hospitality from Diana and Brenda made our visits even more memorable.
We’re already looking for excuses to return to Merced—just so we can bring the whole family to La Hacienda. If you’re in town, do yourself a favor and go. You won’t regret it!
