Oliva absolutely exceeded our expectations!
We had incredible service, despite it being a busy Saturday night. The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond for us the entire night. We were celebrating birthdays and the staff went out of their way to make us feel special by surprising us with dessert! The food, wine, and drinks were absolutely amazing…we couldn’t stop talking about it. Definitely make a reservation on the weekend because it gets. busy! But it is by far our new favorite spot in Cleveland!

Service fenaminal water on point as well getting my wine refilled. Bread was stunning not a fan of Olives but the olive oil that came with the bread was amazing. Steak was perfect and seasoned alongside the salad. Risotto was a little hard but it was great. So many wine selections. Location was interesting cus its a little hidden reminds me like something out of New York but it’s close to a parking location. Fantastic for an event like wife’s Birthday.

Came here for a dinner and it was absolutely marvelous! I ordered the filet mignon with fresh truffles – absolutely decadent. We paired it with wine and a lavender sidecar.
The appetizers were also delicious.
Our server was sweet and so attentive.
All 8 of us left happy and very full.

It was a good experience dining here. They were fine without having a reservation just an hour before closing the kitchen and Leah kindly served without rushing. The menu had exotic options and everything was prepared perfectly. The vibe was unique and comfy and service was good.

Great food. Server gave amazing suggestions for shared plates. The front of the restataunt is a lot quieter and calmer than the back of the restataunt which is louder. People also walked in and sat at bar. Good for solo travelers!

Olivia’s is easily my new favorite steakhouse and I am one who enjoys fine dining so I’ve experienced plenty to say that. I went this past Sunday for my 31st birthday with about 10 family members. First, Dan thank you so much for your service, I have never been waited on in like that in my life. Your knowledge of the menu and the way you took note that we were having trouble reading and stepped in is impeccable. Dan went over the entire menu and even gave 2-3 recommendations for every section. He was prompt, kind, personal, handsome and made the night what it was which was a time. The food was exceptionally well seasoned, cooked to perfection, came out hot and I appreciate how the chef’s are in view of the customers it makes for a wonderful experience and it’s a great conversational point because we were impressed. The drinks were strong, very very strong and delicious!! I had the lemon drop and espresso martini.10/10 will be a regular. Photo of my food only but we at $700 worth of different items off the menu and whatever choice you get, you will be impressed. Thank you Oliva, truly.

The food here is truly amazing! We were all surprised that it was that good! The steaks were cooked perfectly. The risotto is the best I’ve ever had. Both types of cheese in my salad were wonderful. It would be so much better that we could have some cake like chocolate cake and white cake as desserts. The waiter(dark hair with a mustache so sorry I didn’t remember your name) was also amazing. The only part that bothered us is that the bill for the drinks we ordered at the bar while we were waiting for our table, was not able to add on to our finally bill. Which is kinda weird. But in general, it was a lovely dinner.

We finally made it to Olivia’s after hearing so many great recommendations, and I can honestly say it deserves every one of those 5 stars! The atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was absolutely delicious. We started with the jumbo shrimp appetizer and shared a Caprese salad before diving into the New York strip—and everything was top-notch. I can’t wait to go back!

I rarely, if ever, write reviews. Even when my experience is suboptimal, I usually let it go—restaurants have off nights. But my experience on January 31st at Oliva was egregious enough to warrant this review.

I had a 7:30 reservation to celebrate my birthday. I’d been wanting to check this place out and liked the menu. Upon entry, the restaurant is cozy, intimate, and well curated. That’s likely the only positive I’ll mention.

Our server, whose name I believe was Leah, was initially pleasant but that didn’t last. We ordered cocktails, and another guest and I didn’t enjoy our drinks and asked if we could swap them. I apologized for the inconvenience and explained that the drinks simply weren’t to my liking. I didn’t care if they were comped—I wasn’t going to drink them anyway. From that point on, her tone, energy, and demeanor immediately soured for reasons I do not understand.

We ordered several dishes to share: gambaretti, Siciliana salad, ravioli, boneless ribeye with Chianti butter, branzino, and baked potato. From drinks to first course, we waited about 30 minutes. The shrimp were fine but nothing special. The Siciliana salad was bland and one-note. The ravioli was good but arrived cold—it was the best thing we had, so it was a shame it wasn’t served at the right temperature.

After that, it took another full hour for mains. During this time, our server never checked in, offered an explanation, or apologized. We were starving but didn’t complain, we were trying to make the best of the evening.

When the ribeye and branzino arrived, the Chianti butter was missing. I mentioned it, and the server seemed sooo irritated with no apology. The branzino, which is supposed to be deboned, had numerous bones—far beyond an errant bone. The ribeye arrived with a very small bone on the plate; none of us thought it was bone-in, as it was unusually small, almost decorative and not attached to the steak. The steak itself was high quality and cooked perfectly but lacked any flavor of note, as did the Chianti butter. The baked potato was completely unsalted. Watching the table next to us aggressively salt theirs confirmed this wasn’t isolated. I’m genuinely surprised a “luxury” restaurant would serve an unsalted baked potato or so many under seasoned dishes. Honestly, you could get a better baked potato at Texas Roadhouse and probably have a better experience overall

Despite waiting over an hour for food, there was a clear push to turn the table quickly. Four staff members came by asking to clear plates while we were actively eating with plenty of food left.
Because it was my birthday, I ordered dessert—the “raw” cheesecake. It took 20 more minutes to arrive. My friend has a nut allergy. The menu did not indicate the dessert contained nuts, nor did our server ask about allergies. She took a small bite and immediately started reacting to what had to be a nut component in the crust.

When we requested the check, we noticed we were charged for a bone-in ribeye, roughly $20 more than the boneless version we explicitly ordered. When we asked for clarification, the server was visibly annoyed, rolled her eyes, spoke with who I assume was the manager, and returned with a revised bill. She leaned down and said, “You ordered bone-in. I heard bone-in. You ate bone-in—but here’s the boneless price,” in a rude and condescending tone, as if she were doing us a favor rather than correcting her own error.

While slow kitchens (we were there for over 3 hrs) or imperfect food are never the server’s fault and I’d never blame them, her attitude made an already disappointing night far worse. For this reason alone, we left a poor tip for the server, which I never do.

In all my years of dining across many cities and countries, I have never encountered a server so unnecessarily hostile and uncaring about the satisfaction of diners, especially those celebrating an occasion. I will not be returning and cannot, in good faith, recommend this restaurant to others. If you are looking for good food and decent treatment, you could go literally anywhere else.
