I’m so glad my friend brought me here. It was a really pleasant discovery! I didn’t know what to expect but we had such a nice experience. First of all, it’s a real speakeasy! The bartenders are dressed to the nines in 20’s wardrobe. They have live music! We really enjoyed it. The drinks were awesome! But my favorite was the arugula prosciutto pizza! Wow! I discovered they make their dough from scratch! That was a real treat! I definitely recommend this place. Even if you aren’t not close to their location, make a special trip! Service is great

My wife and I came here from Pearland, randomly, luck of the draw sorta thing. When I say, the best spinach artichoke dip is top 10 contender regardless of who you are, I’m not lying. From the vibes of the music ti the belt notches loosin’… yall gotta fan in me. Thank you to the owner Damon for walking around and checking in on us. Your staff is amazing, and just the fact that you took the time to ensure we were fine as we wined and dined, was right on time. Will be recommending to more than a few.

I recently had the pizza over at MB speakeasy. Don’t sleep on these new additions…I had the Speakeasy Slice and it was delicious! Kaylee and Meadow gave such friendly and attentive service and the ambiance is on point! And well…their craft cocktails are a must have too. I especially love their Jalapeno infused tequila drinks!

OK, I go for Bill’s karaoke show on Mondays at 6:30p but the pizza is superb (ooohhh, that crust!) my friends live thr crafted cocktails and they had a excellent IPA, on tap, for me. Join their loyalty club. I used my first discount this week! Intimate, cozy atmosphere.

Quiet while we were there. But have heard that it is a very good place to go and listen to music. Update: Saturday night was live music great vibes and drinks.

First time in this place tonight. I was checking out Karaoke Bill’s Monday night show.
You can get a 12 oz can of Lone Star here for $4. That’s not cheap, but it’s not terribly expensive either, especially for a ‘speakeasy’ like this, where they’ve put some thought into the design of the place. This is definitely not a dive bar.
I sat at the bar. The young, bearded bartender was not that friendly when he first made contact…no smile, no greeting, and he ignored my ‘how’s it going?’ outright. Maybe I caught him at a bad moment. Later on he checked on me, and I decided that my negative first impression was a one-off.
An older, taller gentleman came out and got me my second beer. I was getting owner vibes from that guy. He seemed friendlier.
The karaoke was not bad. The second song i sang was better than the first.
Clean, well-stocked restroom!!! Very important.
This place is not bad. I would probably come back, especially if I needed a good karaoke venue for a date. This place would be great for date night.

I previously reviewed this place, and was pretty harsh. I gave them the benefit of the doubt…came back and, long story short – staff is everything! friendly bartender and cook were completely personable and made me feel welcome, so i’ll definitely return. 🙂

Definitely not a true speakeasy. That would have been okay, but for almost $60, the drinks are weak and not worth it. All of them were way to sweet, barley any alcohol. Also had to wait even longer to order a drink, due to a dog pooping, which you could smell the whole time, in the middle of the floor. Customer service also lack. There was a guy at the bar, putting his hands in the garnish, more than a health issue. The vibe wasn’t bad, that’s why I’m giving 2 stars

We had been here once before had fun, and this was our 2nd experience. We had a bad experience with service yesterday. We were ignored to say the least, and I felt incredibly unwelcome by staff. My boyfriend is a bar manager and sommelier. I also work in service industry, so we’re pretty understanding, but this we just did not understand. We were not even greeted, then they served the table that came in after us before us, so initially I was put off but thought maybe they’re just having a rough day so we waited. I honestly told my boyfriend I wanted to leave right then but he wanted to drink and I brought him there for fun after he worked all day. When the bartender did go to get our order, he kinda just stood there in front of us like, what do you want? So we told him… again very off putting. It was 5 PM on a Saturday and the bar that had a total of six people in it. I really didn’t expect bad service as it wasn’t very busy. I guess around 6:00pm it looked like more bartenders came in and then proceeded to ignore me for another 30 minutes with an empty drink sitting in front of me- now, at this time, we are the only people sitting at the bar top. When I finally do get an order, the new bartender (of course she had no idea what happened before she came in so I don’t fault her there but it’s your bartop after that), she was like do you need something? Yes, I’m literally sitting at a bar top with an empty glass. What do you think? Again, not even a hello, I’m the new bartender we’re shift changing or anything remotely friendly. She just gave me a deer in the headlights look, like I’m inconveniencing her by ordering a drink at her job. They give my boyfriend a drink and just never give me mine. I proceeded to watch her serve everyone around me and ignore me for another 15 minutes. Took an hour and a half for me to get two drinks, and I never even got the 3rd. Basically, the only time they interacted with us was whenever the live music girl was playing (she was great) and they told us “that’s our friend- please give her money” which I did tip her 15.00. I never have a problem tipping. In fact, I find myself to be very generous but the whole experience was off-putting, and I likely won’t be back because I don’t like to waste time and when I do want to spend money, I like to have a good experience. I normally leave 20%, but I believe I left 10% this time because I was just so frustrated. Last time I visited, I spent $120 but yesterday I couldn’t even get anybody to take an order much less deliver it.
I have personally served bars 10x busier than this place was. So serving people who came in after me before me was already egregious enough (All good bartenders track who comes in/what they had/demeanor especially when not packed) and when I am watching people actively ignore me in slow bar you’re sending “we don’t want you here” vibe, so I left instead of waiting for my last drink. Service matters just as much as the drinks. When I see three bartenders(?) talking behind the bar and doing whatever while ignoring me sitting at the bar top with an empty drink glass I just don’t understand it. Did it really take three people to watch one person clean the shakers? It really felt like if you’re not friends with the staff, you will not get served. I really hope they have enough friends to pay their bills, because that is an absurd way to alienate your clients.
I would like a reply from the manager or owner- But if the owner is one of the people who gladly ignored me yesterday, then there really is no need- I did notice on most of the pictures posted in reviews the place is empty… ?

I love this place. The live music is very talented, the drinks are top notch and the staff feel like family. I always make a point to stop in when in Old Town Spring!
