It’s like having a super size balcony. Parking is free for 2 hours. Walk in either side of the building. Bartenders are super friendly. DJ was spinning fun songs. Planes are flying all around. It’s about 12 min to the airport. Was my last stop before leaving town.

This rooftop is above the Kimpton hotel on the 8th floor. They have valet parking for $10 for up to 4 hrs and self park for $8 up to 4 hours. There was only one person there serving food and bartending. She wasn’t the nicest but she could have been over extended based on being the only person. All drinks and food need to be ordered at the window not at the table.
While the views of the planes and atmosphere is pretty cool the prices of the drinks are crazy expensive. $17 for a glass of Rose is ridiculous. An Oldfashioned was $16 and she mixed it in the whiskey glass. Despite that I was going to get a 2nd drink but when I went to order it she said it’s past last call. When I said I never heard anyone call last call she just rudely says last call is at 930p and they close at 10.

My bestie stayed here so I paid her a visit. She was flying out the next day, and we wanted a glass of wine. How could we pass up the rooftop bar on the 8th floor.
As soon as you step off the elevato, walk forward to a door that leads to the rooftop. It was quite pleasing to the eye. The view is spectacular. The music was jumping but not overly loud. You can see the Porsche Building and the track very clearly. You are also privy to seeing numerous jets landing as the runway is behind the hotel.
We opened a tab and ordered drinks and wine and also a lot of food. Sautéed Garlic Shrimp, Overland Sliders, Chicken Wi, gs and an Overland Burger. I had the burger. It was huge and made from what seemed like steak almost. It was dressed beautifully with lettuce, gouda cheese, and some thick bacon. Everything we had was good. The bartenders and serving staff were supreme. Very, very nice.
The rooftop is open from 5-11pm. It was a very enjoyable aspect of our experience here at Kimpton Overland. We will be back.

Amazing view and atmosphere. I had one of the Mocktail non-alcoholic drink. It was tasty, reasonably price and I watched the one staff member mix this concoction. I also had the Southern Chick Egg Roll, wow, it was yummy. While fulfilling, don’t come hungry. It was $19. The menu was a shortlist and I couldn’t find anything online. There was an Apron menu on the table and at the window. Parking was free when I arrived at 7:30 on a Thursday. No signage for the restaurant so I assumed it to be the 8th floor which is the top floor. Food was brought in a timely fashion as I mingled with other guests. I’ve taken a picture of the order window, the one rectangular table seating approximately 12. You can take a few descent pictures by the faux grass on the wall.

The view is amazing and the atmosphere is lovely. They had a live band by the name of Matt Damon. However, the service, food & drinks are not worth the hype. For starters, we stood around quite sometime before being told that it was open seating. When then waited about 10 minutes before I got up to ask for menus. We ordered drinks which didn’t come for at least 30 minutes and when they came, they forgot one. We then ordered flatbreads, one was delicious and the other overcooked. 3 drinks and 2 flatbreads weren’t worth a $70 bill. You are better off just going for the scenery.

I will say I’ve been several times and adding fans would help because it gets stuffy up there and they need to hire help soon.. That one bartender can’t do it all.. Lines get slow…. Still worth going

We ordered appetizers that took 2 hours to receive. There were only 5 of us. The environment is nice with outdoor seating and planes flying overhead. There was also free champagne and fruit and cheese downstairs in the lobby. The rating would be higher had the food service been timely. A 2 hour wait for appetizers is just too long.
