I was recently put onto Paul & Vinnie’s which is a Ghost Kitchen operated inside Carbone’s Kitchen in the Wintonbury Mall by the same chefs that cook Carbone’s food.
It’s a take-out only place that serves Grinders and Pizza.
I’ve tried their grinders and they are expensive but also massive and taste pretty good.
The pizza though, BEST pizza in Bloomfield hands down. I’ve had the Nicks Pepperoni and Vodka Sausage and WOW, it almost saves me a trip to New Haven when I’m craving the best pizza in the world.
While the pizza from Paul & Vinnie’s is phenomenal, your going to have to deal with the poor service and wait times to get it.
I ordered my pizza online at 3:45PM with a pickup time of 4:25PM. 40 Min for a pizza isn’t the best but hey if you’ve been to Sally’s Apizza, 2 hour waits are common there.
However, when I got to Carbone’s at 4:25 the pizza wasn’t ready yet. I waited until 4:50PM for my pizza to come out, over an hour after placing the order.
The Carbone’s Manager noticed me waiting over 30 min for my pizza and was nice enough to gift me a $25 gift card for the inconvenience which was very appreciative and led me to rate them as a 4 star overall since they are aware of the time issue, otherwise the review would have been less stars.
Needless to say I will be going back because the pizza is just that much better than anywhere else in Bloomfield, but I will be prepared to wait extra long next time.

Love the food but lately my orders have been cold, even when I show up early to pick them up. They seem to leave orders sitting on top of a counter instead of a lamp or warming appliance. Also they always tell me I’m too early before bringing my food out. I think their online ordering pickup time estimate needs adjusting. Hoping these issues can be solved because the food really is delicious when served hot.

Best pizza and grinders in town. Order at least once a month and never have an issue that the low ratings mention. Recommend the Jazzy Chicken grinder, Italian Bomb and Grumpy Gramps’ pizzas. As close to perfection as you can ask for!

I used to love this place, but my last 3 orders were cold. Not even a little warm. I showed up 20 minutes early, they told me I was too early, then 20 minutes later they brought out cold grinders… Something changed here, and not for the better. Won’t be returning.

I’ve never had to write a review like this but the food is only okay considering the high prices. There is no front door making finding the restaurant unbearable and they don’t answer the phone. Idk how a place like this stays in buisness

Unfortunately this is the 5th time I received my food cold. I arrived 20 min early and called multiple times and I still received my food cold. I watched as they put my food on top of the oven and left it there for 15 min. I don’t understand why they continue to do this. Please do better.
