Oh and it’s super inexpensive
Environment-wise, it looks like a typical hole-in-the-wall restaurant from my favorite memories of living in SF bay area. Tired but neatly kept interior. A mostly to-go restaurant with a few chairs and tables, boxes of supplies stored on wire racks against one wall, and a kid sitting doing her homework at a table behind the counter. Fanciness is definitely not a priority here but I’m here to eat the food not the furniture.
I ordered the beef chow fun (ho fun), one of my yardstick dishes that any decent Cantonese Restaurant should be able to make well, but many don’t. It had great wok hei, plenty of tender beef, good ratio of bean sprouts, green onion, and they snuck in a few pieces of mushroom. lived in SF bay area most of my life I’ve had my share of Cantonese food, this dish is right up there with the best of the hole-in-the-wall places that I’ve been to. Having said that, this is my review of a limited sample size of only 1 dish, let’s hope future visits are just as good with other dishes.
It was just good.
We’ll give them another try but not right away.
I got beef lo mein this time. yum.
Steamed chicken /beef and broc is proper made.
Fried rice is tasty with lots of pork and onion pieces.
Not greasy. Only yummy
Highly recommended
Had no idea they are right next to UPS.
Got a simple fried fish with pork fried rice and they subbed the egg roll for a shrimp one no charge!
The total was amazing, and tipped them so the total was only $13.00!
It was super delicious, I could tell they used real fish instead of typical American nasty fish sticks, and they included a homemade tartar sauce!!! It was really the best fried fish/Chinese takeout I have ever had.
I can’t wait to try more next time I drop off a letter or need to do laundry!
