El Buen Pollo is a hidden treasure, people are sleeping on this place because it is one of the best Mexican places to get an authentic meal. We try to go by on Wednesdays since they have a special where you buy a whole chicken and you get a 1/2 chicken for free. Along with this order you’ll also get sides that contain salad, sautéed onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, salsa, and corn tortillas. This is enough food to feed 4-5 people for two separate occasions! The chicken is amazing!

Went there for lunch. Great server . The food was hot and tasty. The issue I had was the pricing. I ordered a tripas burrito and was asked if I wanted pico. The pricing has it for 6ish dollers but ended up paying 10 dollars for one burrito. So advertising seemed a little vague . But overall it was a good place to eat .

And the prices are horrible!!!! The chicken was reheated and old! I don’t know what kind of salsa that was but it was nasty!! Salad was nasty!! The spicy chicken was so nasty everything was nasty and old and expensive so do not go there!!! And the rice and beans was so nasty and microwaved!!! Worst places ever!!

STAY AWAY!!!!Horrible place to eat. Chicken was cold and looked old. Looked like they bought rotisserie already made chicken from Walmart or HEB and reheated it. The rice was from a knoor insta bag and tortillas from a store. Very expensive too 28 dollars for a half a mess of chicken with a Mexican bottle coke. All I have to say I hope this helps other people and stay away from this horrible chicken place here in big spring, Texas. I hope and pray I don’t end up sick and in the hospital. STAY AWAY!!!

Really it should even get 1 star but there’s no option for zero stars. Please choose a different location when looking for place to eat. The food was not well made, it tasted and looked old. Everything on the plate was garbage.

Hole-in-the-wall alert, attention hole-in-the-wall alert!

You must try the chicken in this place. You can tell it is so authentic that they do not need fancy decorations on the wall or anything , just the particular Walmart chair and table set up just make sure the product is good.

Is it for noon on a Saturday right before Super Bowl, sitting here for about 30 minutes I must have seen about a total of 20 people getting orders to go and eating in as well.

There is not much really thought I menu except that I know that they have menudo today and it looked pretty good even though I did not eat that stuff. On the menu you had your choice of a whole chicken for about $11 or a half of a chicken for about $7. You can have your chicken spicy, or half-and-half.

I opted for the spicy chicken with flour tortillas. It was very plentiful but I could not finish it because it was a little too spicy for my palate and I can tell you that the first my chicken was so tender that I could have cut it with my pinky.

The lady that walks around to take a Warner and delivers for food I would assume is the wife of the owner as you can see the owner is most likely the guy behind the cash register. They are all very friendly as well as one or two other staff that came out from behind kitchen to see if everything was okay.

Chicken a soft drink, there is a cooler in the back where you can retrieve your beverage, always get the Mexican Coke, do the right thing.

This is definitely one of those must-try places if you are passing – town.

Honestly, the food was Ok. It’s nothing special at all. The people that work there are really nice but the food is just boring. Anybody can make better food than this at home. It’s also expensive. The fresh fruit water is good though, that’s why I’m giving it 2 stars. It’s just not as good as I thought it was going to be. It also made me sick. So, beware. I won’t be coming back.

Awful. They do not have real Mexican rice. I looked like the instant package yellow kind and still wasn’t cooked fully. The bean had more hot dog weines then beans. Meat wasn’t to great either. Will not ever be back and will never recommend, not even to our enemies!

We moved to big spring and this place was so close to our home we ate burritos there at least three times a week plus menudo on weekends fresh and good at first then the more we ate there the burritos became greasy old tortillas no eggs on our. Breakfast burritos and the potatoes were hard today was my final straw I won’t waste any more of my money there cold and old ground beef ‍♀️ ‍♀️
