10-42 is a family owned BBQ restaurant on the west side of the Lake of the Ozarks. We do dine in, carry out, and as long as we have enough staff we can also deliver! We also offer a full catering service. 10-42 is proud of all of our public servants. We offer a 10% discount to all military, law enforcement, dispatchers, EMTs, and firefighters. We have weekly specials for both food and drinks. We are teamed up with Lovemade treats to offer DELICIOUS desserts as well. We hope to see you here!

I get there and the menu is a printed peice of paper they laminated, nothing like the one online and a way smaller selection, at the bottom it says ribs only available Fridays and Saturdays, another detail not online which of course is what I went there for but it’s taco Tuesday and 1.25 per taco isn’t bad, except they’re 2.00 if you want them to go. I still get them because I’m hungry. 0 stars the meat is unseasoned and the cheese is literally slices of american cheese someone cut up, I ordered 3 hard 3 soft but they give me 2 hard 4 soft different topping mixes on all of them some with only lettucesome with only tomatoone plain one. The lady at the counter was nice which was the only redeeming quality, everything else was not a good experience.

I don’t know that we will eat here again. Overview says they are family friendly, great place for kids and they even have a kids menu… however we were NOT expecting there to be smoking present while we are with my infant and other children. Only booths that were available are by the bar where smoking is present (2 booths total for my mother who is also handicapped and cannot sit in a high rise chair) so we were planning to leave but there was nothing else open close by after a long day. We decide to stay because my infant is ready to eat and lay down. The waitress was VERY nice though! We opted to sit outside after being told there was an outside area. However this is 730 pm in mid June…. we were SWARMED with bugs while waiting for our food and had to get to go boxes for all our food. I would say unless your okay with cigarette smoke being breathed in while you’re eating or are okay with your children breathing it in, this is NOT somewhere for your children to eat with you as a family. Very upsetting. I was really looking forward to eating here and having the whole experience. however the food was AMAZING. I got the brisket sandwich and slaw and it was great. My 7 year olds burger was not so great though….Since we left because of the bugs, he went to eat it at the place we were staying and as soon as he was 2 bites in, it was pretty pink… like red. It sucks because the waitress was so nice and my food was great but again not a great place for the kiddos. I did get my money back for the burger though.

This place was incredible. Had a large group and they accomplished everything perfectly. Super nice bartender behind the bar. Place was very clean and very well put together. Food was incredible as it can be!

The food, I thought, was pretty good. I had the Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich and fried potato salad (which was different). I could taste the Carolina flavor. Service was great. Great time with the kids on my birthday!

Came here with my grandparents for dinner. We sat outside as it was nice out. I had the ribs. They had grilled cheese brisket and Carolina pulled pork. We also had the fried potatoes salad all of which were really good. But the best thing about the place was the waitress. She was funny and very kind. Will be returning

Open for lunch this Friday so we stopped in. We were the only customers, no ribs, brisket was a couple days old and dry, the pulled pork was also a couple days old and dry. The fried potatoe salad was OK. Waitress was OK. I’ll support any fellow law enforcement, but I won’t be back here for food.

Party of 4 ordered the ribs…horrible! Tasted like charcoal lighter and were so tough you couldn’t cut them, much less chew them. Obviously not smoked low and slow, as good BBQ needs to be. Asked the cook to cut my wife’s ribs…took about 5 minutes to get them back. So, they knew they were bad, as the waitress noticed so much still left on the plate she gave us a discount. Great, but we were still HUNGRY…c’mon 1042…you can do better!!! Don’t serve it if it doesnt represent the quality of food you promote. Decent place for drinks and friendly enough service…but sorry, not the food!

The food was great and the service the same! Between the brisket with its amazing smoke ring, the moist and delicious pulled pork, and the sides…definitely a must check out! The hand cut curly fries were seasoned perfectly and the deep fried potato salad is a dish of magic!
