Social Profile:

DRINK COFFEE DO STUFF is a specialty coffee company built with the belief that extraordinary coffee leads to an extraordinary life. The mantra began in the Swiss Alps in 2012 during founder Nick Visconti’s pro snowboard days and continues today at our Lake Tahoe headquarters. As specialty coffees grow at elevations similar to that of our roastery, all our coffees are sourced from the mountains and roasted in the mountains. The hallmark of our coffee roasting style is maximizing sweetness and revealing origin characteristic. High altitude roasting at 6,000ft in Lake Tahoe provides us unique advantages to achieve this consistently making all our coffees more sweet, less bitter.

We will stop by here before, after, sometimes both before we head out to the mountain. Each time we go we have a great experience. You can really tell they care about doing things right—our coffee was made perfectly. The steamed milk texture was smooth and balanced, not overheated or burnt, which made a big difference. We ordered three different drinks, and every one of us was completely satisfied. Consistent quality like this is what keeps people coming back. Highly recommend supporting this spot.

I recommend espresso from this place.
They had vegan croissant which has extra treat. They heated it up.

Was there with kiddos and had oat milk hot chocolate for them and espresso for me.

Have been there twice, the hot chocolate was really nicely decorate, little hart on it, was very good. It was barrista made.

The second time it was just poured to the cup, large foam bubbles, like anyone can do at home.

The espresso was really good. It had good medium roast quality, flavorful, strong creama.

The place has space to sit and good parking spots next to it.

The service was fast and very polite.

Cute little coffee shop. Staff was nice enough but it’s all counter service. Atmosphere is a bit blah and white, and none of the chairs are really comfortable to sit and read and enjoy your coffee. Coffee was good.

i got a matcha latte and the lox bagel. i would definitely skip the matcha, it just tasted like milk. i even asked the barista if she actually recommended it because cafes tend to do a poor job at making them, but she assured me it would be good (it was not). lox bagel on the other hand was super tasty.

Second time coming to Tahoe and we decided to hit up all the locations because we can’t get enough! I’ve tried the both summer seasonal drinks, and the three lattes on the permanent menu. They are the pines, purple haze and brown sugar and spice. We also got the prosciutto/ pistachio toast and the avocado and it was so yummy!! All three locations have their own little charm but love that here, you can walk around and check out the shops!

Found a cute cafe in historic downtown Truckee called Drink Coffee Do Stuff and met the guy that runs the place “Kam.” He cheerfully agreed to make his avocado toast on my GF bread. He makes the avocado mash with olive oil and shakes Everything But The Bagel seasoning on top. Yum! The cappuccino was well-executed and tasty. The decor is mountain-sporty, with plenty of seating inside and out, and lots of windows, including some that look out on the train track. Added bonus to feel the train roll by! I’ll be a regular here having acquired a pad nearby. As a former cafe owner/operator, I appreciate places like this. Come spend time here, help make community and – pay in cash (that helps small business SO MUCH).

First time going here and I got an Americana and the Salmon Lux. My wife got a tea and my daughter got a strawberry smoothie and we all enjoyed it. The atmosphere is cool and we didn’t wait that long for our food and drinks.
I will definitely come back again because after I was done drinking my coffee I felt like doing stuff.

2025-review: still good barrister but only one choice of espresso “medium dark” – “it’s faster this way” — no longer worth a detour. 2024-review: Goooood barrister. Dark roast is the main choice here, but they have amazing single origins. Worth a detour.

Espresso, dirty chai, and drip were all solid. Very comfortable and functional cafe space for meeting, sitting, drinking, dog watching, etc. Indoor and outdoor seating. Paid parking in front of the shop.
Good looking pastry options and they serve local bagels.
