The desserts were wonderful: fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented.
I’m taking off one star for breakfast. It turns out you can’t order any savory breakfast options before 10:30 a.m., and this isn’t posted anywhere. There’s no indication that sandwiches are only available after 10:30. We came on a Saturday morning hoping to have a nice, proper breakfast.
The only food options were either sweets or a plain croissant with cheese and ham, which I ended up getting since there wasn’t much else to choose from.
The croissant is large, but you can barely taste the cheese, and the single slice of ham covered maybe a third of it Definitely not worth the $6.50.
Overall: a cute place to stop by for dessert in the afternoon.

They are finally open!!! Very beautiful and welcoming atmosphere, super friendly staff, and really good food from everything I’ve tried so far. Much more seating at this location too. I’m already planning a visit back to try more things!!

If you’re ever in Charlotte, do yourself a favor and stop by Chez Marie. It has always been my first stop every single time I visit the city, and now that I’ve been to their second location, I’m somehow even more obsessed.
The new space is absolutely stunning! Super aesthetic, warm and cozy without trying too hard. It’s the kind of place where you walk in and instantly feel comfortable.
The desserts are LITERAL ART!! Every single one looks like it belongs in a gallery before it even hits your table. The attention to detail is unreal and they taste just as incredible as they look.
Their coffee deserves its own shoutout too. You can genuinely taste the quality in every sip and it pairs beautifully with their desserts, and just elevates the whole experience!!

My husband and I stopped here for an afternoon coffee and pastry and were not disappointed! The slightly sweetened matcha latte was done perfectly, as was my husband’s Americano. What really blew us away were the sweets! The strawberry pistachio and hazelnut tartlets were out of this world!! I highly recommend a visit and bringing some home for later.

My husband and I stopped in for the first time today. Everything looked amazing and decided to bring several home to try. Ended up ordering the lemon merengue tart, hazelnut tart, almond croissant, and Pistachio Paris Brest. We couldn’t wait try try a bite of each. Absolutely delicious!
