First time I came here I had the bandeja paisa, chicken empanadas, & arepas. Great taste & reminded me of when I was in Bogotá.
Second time I went to try the beef empanadas & got a few other items such as the chorizo & morcilla on the side. They were amazing too!
Let’s not forget the atmosphere. The walls & ceiling are decorative & stand out. Also cannot go wrong with their impeccable customer service. And sometimes there’s even live music.
Definitely worth the drive from outta town.
Update: Please remember, the food takes long to come out because they make everything completely fresh. Why would you complain about waiting for fresh food?
The owner is very friendly and the service is great overall. The restaurant is decorated beautifully, and is very clean. I cannot recommend this place enough.
A good amount of options on their menu, their empanadas and their arepas seem to be their bread and butter or specialty per say and they are delightful. Their hot chocolate was also pretty good and paired with a croissant and the cheeze/butter provided was magical. The server was nice and accommodating. It did get rather busy at some point and a time where I did have to get their attention for some waters but an understandable pass for how it got busy. Overall pleasant experience, don’t mind trying it again if around the area and wanting some Colombian cuisine.
By far the star is their passion fruit drink. It was so delicious. The milk base made it nice and creamy with a very good passion fruit taste. I feel like this as a paleta or ice cream would be amazing.
The empanada was crispy on the outside and had a lot of filling inside. The chicharrón was huge, meaty, cristy on outside but tender inside. Chorizo was juicy and very good flavor. The arepa had a good amount of cheese filling.
Highly Recommend
– bandeja paisa jumbo (comes with a little bit of every like plantains, shredded beef, chicharrón, egg, mini arepas, chorizo)
– arepa con queso y chorizo
– empanada de carne
– maracuya (passion fruit) milk based drink.
Service was great and loved the way the place was decorated.
