I love China Station. The food is always great. It’s so much better than other Chinese restaurants. Peter is always friendly. I haven’t been in for awhile. The sign on the door said they open at 12 noon. They didn’t open the door until quarter past 1. The menu has been cut way down. I waited 40 minutes for my food even thoughi was the first order. It never took that long before. But it was still as good as ever. I know Peter is transitioning to full retirement at some point, but they really need to work on the timing from opening at the time stated on the door to getting the food prepared. If not for these two things, I would give 5 stars.

While the service was great I was disappointed in the food. The pork fried rice was littlerly just rice, soy and itty bitty barely noticeable bits of pork. No egg, no veggie. Probably the worst fried rice I have ever eaten. The beef and Broccoli was tasty the ratio of beef to broccoli could be a little better. The chicken fingers were best item very tasty and the serving size is very generous although I believe they charge for the duck sauce and only gave 1 small container.

The only reason this ace does not have 5 stars is because of the occasional inconsistent hours mainly in the past, point made on that.
Many years in a row, even with restricted hours, they have landed as the top place for Chinese food. Without a doubt they are the best, have to accept staffing issues and limited hours of today, especially when the owner is the primary cook and is looking to retire. He knows many of his customers by name and his food is top notch without question. Its sad to know this locations days are limited and if I could I would buy the business to keep it running for another 30 years. He has established himself as an amazing cook and makes thr absolute best in the area. You will not find a better Chinese restaurant anywhere around, and in my opinion nothing can touch his fried rice, it tastes amazing.

Been going for over 20 years, since opening. The food was amazing best I’ve ever had until recently, the owners are wonderful and the location is easy to find though the service was hit or miss at best. However, the last six months or so the open times have been erratic, prices are rather expensive for Chinese food, the food has been less than desirable ( I ended up throwing most of it away it was that bad twice) and I feel I get blamed for being irritated I have to wait over an hour sometimes for a simple call in order. I’m not sure what is going on if it’s just an aging restaurant that is on the decline or it’s something else. Doubtful I will continue going to this place given recent changes in times, quality and personnel. It pains me fully to only give three stars, but it’s really at that point and I am not a difficult, needy costumer.

I want to give this place a better review, and the quality of the food deserves better, but the service (even for takeout) has earned them 3 stars.

The food here is reliably good – we eat here about once a month, on average. The inside has absolutely no charm or ambiance – it’s a strip mall Chinese restaurant with almost cafeteria style seating. I think I’ve seen people actually eating in about half a dozen times in the 5+ years I’ve been coming here.

The biggest issue I have is related to how long orders take. There is no good system in place for them to manage food orders as they come in, so things are scattershot and take longer than necessary. My wife and I ordered take-out last Friday, and it took over an hour and a half to be ready (we were told 45 minutes to an hour).

The ladies in the back were calling out one dish at a time for the only chef to cook, and they were calling them out of order – so our takeout order was completely done except for one dish, which they hadn’t even given the chef to start cooking yet.

I hope they can find a way to improve their organization, because the food is great, and there’s no reason for this to be quite so disorganized and slow.

I don’t even care if it’s the slowest service —
We plan ahead for that. Here’s why: It’s local and it’s the best tasting Chinese food around; the owners are caring and make great conversation with us when we come; they have taken our order when we called 5 minutes before closing (without complaint); they’re always willing to adjust menu items to suit my preferences; the portions are generous enough that you have leftovers; and, I would hate to see them ever shut down, because there’s no place equal to it in taste. Love China Station. <3

This place is absolutely ridiculous. I called in my order at 4pm for a 5pm pick up. My husband gets there at 5pm and they tell him they are running behind. He had to wait 45 minutes plus. This is the third time they have pulled this on us. What the heck is the point of ordering ahead?? I called and asked to speak to a manager and “he is busy”. I explain the situation because my husband is STILL sitting in their lobby waiting. Their excuse is that they are short staffed. Then don’t open! Stop accepting orders until you catch up! We were loyal customers, but we will never be eating here again.

The best Chinese food in the area. The chef is such a great guy and an amazing cook! Everything I’ve had here is top quality. The chicken fingers and pork fried rice are amazing.

The food is still tasty but since they opened the Hanover noodle place The time for meals had become crazy and the menu is not as good. Two take out was almost 45 minutes and there was only a few orders ahead of me. I hope they figure it out because it will be a real shame if they stay losing customer because of this.

This used to be my favorite Chinese in the Upper Valley. The Chinese here is nothing compared to MA Chinese, but this place was the closest. Now they’re never really open and the quality of the food has gone down hill. I happened to drive by today because they were open! So I ordered the usual for the family. The Crab Rangoon had barely any stuffing, it was all wonton. The GT chicken was mostly all breading with little chicken. Such a disappointment. This was my favorite place! I’m assuming they’re trying to make up for food costs and decrease in business time, but this is a great way to drive the regular customer base away. It also seems they’re more interested in advertising their kids restaurant in Hanover called Noodle station. I went to try it one day when they were closed and was also not impressed. High prices and the food was not impressive at all… I really have to leave them a bad review when I’ve been going to the place for so long, but the quality has just gone down so much something had to be said. I probably won’t be going anymore and will steer my business to Peking Tokyo, their food is good and they’re the only place around that delivers.
