Homestead Bakery & Cafe opened in Firth, Nebraska in November 2022 with Chef and owner Amber Snesrud at the helm. You can find freshly baked cakes, pastries, and sweet treats in the bakery case along side artisan-brewed espresso and hot drinks all day. In from out of town and anytime available for a lunch stop, I’am never let down. Outstanding customer service, location is quaint and very accommodating. The food, I could eat daily! Ever looking up a good spot to eat and in the area,swing on by because you will not be disappointed. So far the buffalo sandwich and wrap are the best I have ever had. Consistency and quality in the ingredients is unmatched.

Yum! Forgot to take photo before we dug in and ate half our meal. Been here many times before and everything is scrumptious! Homestead Bakery and Cafe in Firth Nebraska is well worth the drive from Lincoln. Oreo Cheesecake and Pecan Caramel rolls( homemade everything), Tacos with chips and Queso Cheese dip, and Pastrami with smoked hamburger sandwich; and Chicken Tortilla soup with chips.(sorry I ate that too fast). Last but not least. Superb service. Feels like family. I recommend all menu items. Each visit we tried new ones and were never disappointed.

We have stopped in at Homestead twice since the new owner has taken over and both visits have been outstanding! The food has been great both times (highly recommend the red hot red head burger) and the staff has been genuinely kind and attentive, for a charming small town cafe experience. Make sure you save room for dessert or take a sweet treat home with you. They are amazing, as well! So glad to have this gem close for regular visits.

Excellent food, great atmosphere. I had a fun brunch there with friends that drove up from Kansas, then I took one of their soups to go for my supper. The chicken and wild rice soup was perfect.

Food is delicious! The club sandwich is HUGE its a triple decker l, the pulled pork is also very good! I like to get iced coffees as well, I just wish the large size was even bigger!

Updating this review… this place closed and reopened under new ownership. I am delighted to see that they kept the atmosphere and some of the people! They have added more desserts and kept the coffee/ice cream part of the menu.
My family and friends love this little hometown place! Very happy they are open again.
