I’m sharing this as a cautionary personal experience. I ate at Halal Kennedy Food Truck and within 3–4 hours developed sudden, severe nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea that required medication and a full day of recovery. The timing strongly suggests foodborne illness, though I obviously can’t say with absolute certainty which item caused it.
The food tasted fine at the time, and I don’t want to speculate about intent — but the illness was significant and disruptive, especially while traveling. I think it’s important for others to be aware so they can make an informed decision.
I hope the truck reviews food handling and holding practices to prevent this from happening to others.

Delicious food, fast service, great prices, large portions, friendly staff! Have had the lamb over rice (favorite), the chicken over rice, and the popcorn shrimp over rice. Delicious every time!

I got to give this guy some love. Every time I’ve come to eat here, the food has been exceptional! His flavors are top notch and really are authentic. Every time I peer inside the truck it’s always very clean and the food is cooked on the spot! Because of this it takes a while to get served, usually 10 minutes, but it’s exceptional quality. You will not get disappointed. In my opinion, BEST halal chicken in Scranton.

We got two meals, chicken nuggets with fries, and the chicken and rice with salad. There were lots of nuggets and fries and my daughter liked it a lot, and the chicken with white sauce was really good, as was the rice and salad, a really yummy combination. There was a misunderstanding of what I wanted to order, and he ended up giving us a discount in the end. Very good and plentious food for a good price!

Always have a wonderful experience at Kennedy’s! I love going to the food truck now since it’s in downtown Scranton a lot. I can just walk there vs dealing with the crazy drivers in south side. The guy who runs the truck is really nice too. Def going to be there more often 🙂
