Uncle Zhou restaurant doesn’t only have delicious food but a wonderful customer service, since the moment we entered the restaurant until we left, we felt welcome and the environment was very nice, everyone was smiling and the people there are very kind. We loved that Uncle Zhou, the chef and owner himself greet us and we had pictures with him, specially the birthday boy.
Thanks Uncle Zhou for offering a great customer service and such a delicious food…CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Good authentic Chinese lunch special. Good stew selections with rich flavor and tender meat. Since most selections are meaty fishes, will be a nice addition to steam some broccoli or veggies to complement the meat.
Attention to detail speak volumes.
Bold flavors, great balance, and very authentic. Would happily order these again.
Firstly, their chilly oil is their signature and is really excellent with the perfect kick of flavor on your palette. Their speciality – the hand drawn wide noodles were very delicious and flavorful too. This place was comparatively much more affordable. Their dumpling and wontons were good. Another item of special mention would be their dipping sauce for their spring roll.
Overall nice ambience, smooth service and a very positive experience. I would love to be back here soon. However, the distance from my home makes it a bit challenging for me to visit here every week.
The line is long but they handled it very well.
We ordered scallion pancake for the appetizer, and the beef wide noodles/double cooked pork for main dishes.
Pros: Servers are nice and friendly. I really like the Double Cooked pork. Little fatty since they use thin Pork Belly, but it’s flavorful. The dish itself has small meat portions and filled up with all the bell peppers. But the Beef Wide Noodle portion is pretty good.
Cons: Service is average at best. The servers are nice and friendly, but they are lack of attentiveness. They sit us down, take the orders, bring the food to the table. Thats it.
Food never was checked to see if the customer satisfied, water was never got refilled. I ordered Pan Cake for appetizer, but they brought main dishes first. I tried to eat slow for waiting for the pancake, but it never comes. And no one comes to our table to check on the food. I need to wave them to the table to ask for the misising Pan Cake. They apologized and went to check. By the time they ‘re back with it, im already done with my meal.
While i was impressed with the Double Cooked Pork, their popular noodle dish didn’t meet my expectation. It was little too “firm” for me. Not sure if it was like that, or they were busy and the noodle undercooked.
Overall, I may give it a try another time too see if the service improves, or their dish is just a miss this time
After finishing our meal, I politely informed our server that we didn’t enjoy the food. Her response was shocking—she said we should have complained while eating instead of mentioning it while leaving. Things got worse when we didn’t tip; she threw a tantrum, which made the experience extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant.
Overall, I did not like this place at all. There are far better Chinese restaurants out there with superior food, service, and ambience. I would not recommend spending your time or money here.
