Came in from out of town looking for a nice place to have a solo dinner and I hit the jackpot! If you like wine this is the spot to go. Amazing selection and the servers were extremely knowledgeable. I chose a Spain flight but had already had one of the wines selected for it so they let me swap it out for a different one. Got a few additional tastings based on their observations of my palate and everything was spot on. Great for a date night, night out with girlfriends or a solo dinner!!

Love this place! Their specialty is little wine flights so you get a chance to try lots of different wines. The service is spectacular. Kimo is the best! He’s passionate and knows his stuff. We’ve also had Lucy who is excellent. This place also takes feedback seriously. Every time we visit they’ve taken it up a notch, between the menu and atmosphere and wine selection (service has always been 110%). We brought our friends for a little celebration a few months back, and they all loved it! There was something for everyone, between the flights (ranging from $-$$$) and appetizers.

How lucky are we Utah!?! A wine bar!!! Finally tried them and sad we have waited so long! It was fun to try the wine flights and sample wines I may not have tried. We ordered several of the appetizers and a pizza. All were good , the meatballs were generous and so good but would have loved them to be warmer. That’s really the only critique I can give. The atmosphere is fun and the service was informative, fun and friendly.

They made us feel like absolute rockstars, creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that it felt more like a VIP experience than just a night out. Their passion, knowledge, and hospitality turned an already amazing evening into something truly special.

We had such an amazing experience at this wine bar! My fiancé called ahead to let them know we were celebrating, and the owner personally walked us to our table and surprised us with two glasses of champagne wine to kick off the evening—it was such a thoughtful touch. The pizza was absolutely delicious (easily some of the best in SLC), and the atmosphere was so fun. We stayed for trivia, which made the night even better, and our server was just as wonderful as the owner—attentive, kind, and made sure we were taken care of. Truly such a special place. We’ll definitely be back!

Came here for Valentine’s Celebration, and it was more than I expected. The owner is very attentive and very easy to talk to. He is also very knowledgeable about the business and fun to talk to. Bar à Vin is an absolute favorite of mine! The owner Kasey was so great to work with during a private corporate event — he was so responsive and willing to assist in any way we needed.
I was also so impressed by the staff and the sommelier, Kimo — he’s brilliant! His knowledge of the wines was expert-level! I feel like I learned so much from the info he provided.
All in all, if you want to feel transported to a lovely villa in France, Bar à Vin is the right place for you — and you’ll probably find me there, too!

Enjoyed my first (but not last!) visit to this wine bar close to the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. The service was fantastic, which includes an introduction to the various flights available as well as the extensive selection of 140 wines available from the Old and New Worlds.
I opted for a pour of Souson, which accompanied very well the pizza bianca I ordered.
I am so glad this place opened in my neighborhood so I can visit regularly!
