The steak au poivre, arancini, and cocktails were definite highlights of the evening. Each dish was perfectly executed and full of flavor.
The ambiance deserves special mention as well—beautiful, relaxing, and comfortable, making it easy to truly enjoy the experience from start to finish.
Excellent food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.
To start off, we all ordered a variety of cocktail such as the Top Fig Tree (similar to a Moscow mule) & Capri Island (contained Spicy Agave)! Then we paired our cocktails with a dozen of fresh oysters, Siberian caviar, & Polipo Brasato di Capri which was a grilled octopus with potatoes and aioli!
For entrees, our party ordered Garganelli alla Vodka, Pappardelle al Funghi, Fettuccine al Tartufo Nero, Ten Layers Lasagna, & Ternerita Braseada with a side of Caesar salad. Wow, all the entrees were super delicious! With the ten layer lasagna & the Pappardelle al Funghi being a party favorite! Lastly, for dessert we decided to try the Tiramisu La Ferne where the espresso coffee used was very powerful!
Overall, @laferneteriabar (IG) was a great establishment on the 9th floor rooftop where you can feel the Miami breeze and enjoy a night out with family or friends. Thank you to Raul for being an excellent server and being so attentive to our party!
Side note – when offered water, we were told “regular or water with gas.” We chose regular thinking “still tap water,” but it was instead bottled still water for $10 each / bottle. Next time, I think guests would appreciate the clarification if no tap water is available, since when you have a big party $10/bottle of water can add up. Not that one minds paying for it, but having the options clearly stated would have all guests on the same page.
P.S. Street parking difficult in the area, hence it is a little difficult to access the restaurant. There is Valet parking near the establishment for $20, but you still have to walk a little to the restaurant’s entrance.
She’s the greatest—I recommend her. Go ask for her, and please tip her a lot.
We also loved that the restaurant accepts Inkind, which made paying super easy and convenient. The food, the service, and the ambiance all came together for a memorable night. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Miami!
My order recs are the carpaccio, arancini, tartare di salmone, ternerita braseada and garganelli al ragu. Everything was super fresh 10/10
The terrace is beautiful, the music creates a great atmosphere, and the bar is spectacular. We also ordered two cocktails that were delicious and very original. Overall, we were extremely satisfied and will definitely be coming back. The vibe of the place is truly special.
Service was good—nothing to rave about, but no complaints either. I’ve had standout service elsewhere that left a lasting impression, and this wasn’t that, but everything ran smoothly and the staff was friendly enough.
The food itself was good and came out fairly quickly—maybe even too quickly. My friends and I were having a great time so time flew by, but I personally would’ve liked the dishes to be spaced out a bit more to enjoy each one at a better pace. I had the pasta, which was solid, though I did feel the prices were on the high side. Then again, it’s Miami, and that’s kind of the norm these days.
The biggest downside for me was the music. It was super loud no matter where you sat, and once it hit 10 PM, it somehow got even louder. Definitely felt more like a lounge or party spot than a restaurant by that point. In hindsight, we probably should’ve looked into that a little more before choosing it for dinner.
That said, I still had a good time. While I personally don’t see myself coming back, I’d still recommend it—especially if you’re looking for a lively atmosphere and don’t mind the noise.
