Really tasty food. I wasn’t familiar with any of the items but wanted to give it a try. Glad I did. It was super spicy & good. Their spice level is Asian standards so take that into account when you order. Really wish they had somebody who spoke English too coz it was hard to order and they didn’t understand or knew how to explain. To their defense, I saw a ‘Hiring’ board so hopefully they’ll get a person who can also speak English do people like me who want to try new food and flavors can be helped.

Broth could be more flavorful but its not bad. For the dipping sauce they ONLY have the bare essentials, no minced garlic, no green onions, etc. Price is honestly pretty decent, i would come back!

I’m taking notes that most of these complaints are coming from ordering online (which I haven’t done/could be a different story). Take it with a grain of salt when ordering in person. The food was absolutely great! It’s best to go earlier in the day for more fresh ingredients when you create your own malatang dish. The guy working the shop can’t speak english well, but he was very clear and directive on what to do. The meals are $12.95 per pound, and I got a little over a pound racking up to $16.53. I like the fact that it’s by pound because you can perfectly portion the dish to your liking as well! The man was very humble and gave me a fresh bowl of rice with my dish and water cups for both me and my mom. Eating the food was the best part! Usually I’m not able to eat all my food but I devoured that entire dish.. Let alone over a pound! It was flavorful and had a good numbing spice to it! Will be coming back here with a bunch more friends ❤

The male owner was dishonest! I was overcharged. The amount posted to my bank account was higher than what I actually paid in the store. It seems they may have added a tip without my approval, even though I didn’t authorize one when I paid. This was very disappointing and unprofessional.
Please double-check your receipts and posted charges if you dine here — and be cautious when paying. I hope the restaurant addresses this issue and handles tips more transparently in the future.

Lemme tell you something to elevate your taste here. Get your food, grab your meats, veggies, whatever is up your alley. Then go across to Hi Hotpot across from Malay and ordered a $1 sauce. Then make yo sauce, bring it back to your table and your order from Malay should be ready. Now. Feast.

Owner was super friendly and helped us choose and get food, got the dry pot and they have such a great selection. This place is in 99 ranch which makes it harder to find but it is go good!! Highly recommend!!! Definitely going back.

45 dollars you get a small box. They must have moved some of the food out from what you picked in the backend. Food is not fresh, do not go to this place.
