What an amazing place to get food at. Everything was made to order and tasted so fresh. Big portions. We chatted with Hamid for a bit while waiting for some of our food to be ready and he was very nice. We highly recommend this place to others if you’re ever around the neighborhood.

I had a terrible experience here with my partner. We won’t be back. Id give zero stars if that was an option.
Tldr : Rude owner, terrible food, save your money go some where else.
I was really excited to try this spot. The menu looked delicious. I ordered cheesy steak fries with an addition of lamb meat. I asked the guy behind the counter if he would do that, I asked if it was going to be extra. He assured me multiple times this would be fine.
He took a pretty long time getting the food ready especially considering we were the only ones around.
My partner noticed before he grabbed the bag, that the man had made a sandwich instead of the fries. We pointed out this error and this made the man have a bit of a melt down.
Im allergic to eggs, cant have the bread because he doesn’t know the ingredients in the bread.
At first, he didnt want to remake the order or give us a refund.
He claimed that he verified what I wanted before he made it. The cheesy steak sandwich comes with fries.. but i never said sandwich. This went on for way too long and when my partner started asking for a refund this man threw the things he had in his hands very dramatically on the table and walked away for a few minutes before coming back to say he’d remake the order. At this point we just wanted our money back but it was cold so we chose not to fight it. I honestly was scared to try the food because of how dramatic and aggressive the guy was being. Tried the food anyways. Immediately wish I didn’t. Food was horrible. No seasoning. Soggy fries. Bad quality meat.
Tried some of my partners meal, also bad. He only remade one of the meals. So I guess both were just bad quality ♀️
Ended up throwing away $30 of food.
Not worth the $ or the headache definitely dont recommend.

OMG where have I been all this years??? The place is a gem . The food is out of this world delicious. They just made a customer for life. I would come from my grave to eat here. Had the Lamb Philly Steak, amazing. The cherry on top… their Afghanistan tea: brought everything together. I don’t what the ingredients of the tea is but I was pleasantly surprised about its taste. I will come over and over here.

Me and my fiancé stopped in after date night at the roller rink! And let me just say Wow this guy loves to make food for people! He was such a nice guy don’t usually eat gyro to often and he went above and beyond to make sure I was happy! You can tell this guy is doing what he loves, and you can come be a part of it! 100% recommendation

I had such a great experience at Munchie Philly & Gyro! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The Philly cheesesteak was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the gyro was tender and full of amazing flavor. The portions were generous, and everything was served hot and fresh. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, and you could tell they really care about their customers. I’ll definitely be coming back soon and recommending this place to everyone who loves good food!

I am so sad to write this review because my son and I used to love the food here. I understand that inflation has made things hard on lots of businesses but I cannot. The chicken burger used to be prepared by the restaurant. It was so juicy and fresh. But now it’s literally like two breaded chicken breasts from Costco. Now it looks like Costco chicken Patty’s and American cheese and fries for $16 and it was so bad we didn’t finish it. The meal I usually get is the kabobs. And usually it’s tender and the jasmine rice is light and fluffy with deliciously seasoned flavors, the tzatziki sauce used to be light and refreshing, but now it’s thick and much too much garlic with a weird aftertaste, the jasmine rice was precooked and then fried in the frying pan to reheat for my meal. Unbelievable. The hummus is now bland and the worst part of it is that the beef kabob was hard. It was like it had been pre cooked and then put in the frying pan again to reheat it. I know the man who owns this place is a great cook. But it looks like they have made changes in the menu, replacing delicious, fresh food for lower quality premade food. And have made some preparation changes where they cook the food ahead and just reheat it in a frying pan. My kabob was $18 and I used to justify the price because even though it’s a food cart, and there’s nowhere nice to sit, and we eat out of the container, the flavor was phenomenal and it was fresh. But now it’s totally and completely unacceptable.

The food was not as advertised. I got a Chicago dog and a basket of garlic fries. The Chicago dog comes without serrano peppers and instead of a pickle spear they use cheap pickle slices from their burgers. The garlic fries were just normal fries drizzled with a strange green sauce. Definitely not what either looked like on their menu board. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great and definitely not as advertised.

The gentleman running this special spot is very kind and friendly. I feel so lucky to have found this spot on my lunch. He served me hot tea while I waited for him to make my gyro fresh. He had no issues accommodating my food allergies which is amazing. He said his wife makes their garlic sauce at home! Lovely people and food. Highly recommend.

The food is so flavorful and amazing. Even just the smell is insane. The bread is so fluffy and served hot, the rice is aromatic, the chicken is tender and juicy.
The outstanding food is only overshadowed by the fact that the man who runs this stand obviously loves his job and is proud of his work. Sitting there in the cozy rain while this man excitedly shows you a perfect batch of rice… One of those experiences that is mundane in act, but will come back to you when you think of how good life is.
10/10, simply adore this place.
