Came for lunch on a Monday and had our choice of seating. We opted for a booth, but the rest of the space was bright and airy and seems to be suited for groups of most sizes.

I got the Blackberry Bumble mocktail and the Sweet Potato Chickpea sandwich. The drink was tasty, as was the food. It came with a huge side of curly fries, which I was too full to finish.

Service was friendly and quick, and the bathrooms were nice and clean. I wish I could give 4.7 stars though, because by the end of our meal, there were tiny little gnats flying around and crawling on the table. Otherwise a lovely meal!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sloane in Allston, and the experience was largely delightful. The food truly stands out—every dish bursts with flavor and creativity. The pancakes, in particular, were nothing short of spectacular: light, fluffy, and perfectly executed, making them an absolute highlight of the meal.

While the soda bread didn’t quite live up to the high standard set by the rest of the dishes, it was a small miss in an otherwise impeccable lineup. The other items on the menu were consistently fantastic, showcasing the chef’s skill and passion for quality ingredients.

Beyond the food, the service was both attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, striking a perfect balance between casual comfort and refined style—ideal for both a relaxed brunch or an intimate dinner.

All in all, Sloane in Allston is a must-visit for anyone looking for great food paired with excellent service and a charming atmosphere. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Came in to enjoy a nice meal and was pleasantly surprised. I started off with a pear necessities which was a lil sweet but tasty. I started my meal with the sausage and corn chowder that heavenly. Next drink I tried was an espresso martini that hit all the marks and was very enjoyable. Main course was the lamb meatloaf that was really hit the tastebuds just. The dill sauce on the potatoes really stands out but have to make sure not to get it on the salad cause it throws off the taste. Overall I enjoyed this place and will be back. Benita the bartender was phenomenal and really knowledgeable when I had questions. The only thing I would change is the bar stools.

I couldn’t have asked for a better meal after a long walk in windy condition. The Chicken and Mashers was amazing from the crispness of the chicken, do the perfectly sweet maple glaze.

Service was perfect as we were welcomed and recommended right off the bat with their popular Chicken and Mashers.

The Whiskey Smash was a perfect combination of a breakfast staple and a historic Irish Whiskey. Jameson Orange, Orange Juice, Vanilla, Tangerine Puree created to perfection.

The Prohibition Irish Coffee is a flavorful mix of Bushmills Prohibition Blend, Demerara, Molly’s, and Atomic Coffee. I could’ve asked for 3 more.

We capped off the meal with a warm Banana Bread with a delicious layer of butter.

11/10 would recommend!!

Food was great! We ordered the chicken sandwich and the egg breakfast.

The food was delicious and fresh, it came out quick and was plated so nicely.

Atmosphere is chic and open, a bit chilly inside but refreshing. Large windows and so much space

The hostess was so friendly and helpful, but our server was very slow and not attentive at all. We wanted to order another round of drinks after the hostess took our plates, and that took 15 minutes to get that. the hostess was accommodating and took that order as our server was no where to be seen.

Then we sat for 20-30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us for our check. As someone who’s been in every position in the industry, it was just bad. Hate making a scene so we waited patiently but it shouldn’t have been that long since the restaurant was half empty from the lunch rush.

We will consider going back in the future but its Boston, so many other places to go.

We had a wonderful Valentine dinner at Sloane’s! All the dishes were delicious and flavorful! We ordered lamb meatloaf, Mushroom Pierogis, Salmon Romesco and house-made ice cream for dessert. The Pierogis were by far the best I’ve ever had, you won’t regret order it. Lamb and salmon were flavorful with many unique sauces but you can still taste the “meat” underneath. The dishes are all generously portioned. Our waiter was very hospitality. I would definitely come back again for more!

Sep 2024:

Not a bad spot overall. The appetizer was a bit underseasoned, and the heavy sauce overpowered the flavors. The fries were overcooked and felt more like scraps. However, the atmosphere was pleasant. Service was great!

Wow! Such a great experience at Sloans!
Easy free parking, no Boston crowds, diverse and interesting menu choices, great staff and clean and fresh bathrooms!
Now the food- first rate all around! I got the pot roast Mac and cheese. It tasted cheesy and creamy. My wife got the soup with the popover. Very tasty! We finished with the apple pie. It has so many flavor profiles with the apples, flaky crust, home made ice cream. A must get! I saw at least 5 other menu items and I will return to try them all. Thanks to the Chefs and owners!

This restaurant is conveniently located near the Trader Joe’s and Harvard Business School. The standard American is decent, using fresh ingredients and nice portions sizes. The staff are friendly. It’s relatively generic and any fusion item feels somewhat bland. The space and vibes are nice.
