Came in for the first time after a nice hike in the Palisades and stumbled upon this cozy sushi spot with a great ambiance. I was a little worried I might be underdressed, but the host was incredibly welcoming and made sure my experience was delightful. The food was spectacular, and the chef even gave me a warm farewell as I left. I’d definitely revisit to explore the menu!

I came in for the $19 lunch special and was surprised that the restaurant was completely empty, yet the experience felt very disorganized. I asked for a recommendation between the Thai basil chicken and the orange chicken but didn’t get much guidance. The Thai dish arrived extremely spicy — so spicy I was coughing — and while the server kindly offered to fix it, there was confusion and I first received the same dish with less spice instead of a replacement. After waiting about 30 minutes, I finally got the orange chicken, which unfortunately was very dry.
Service felt rushed and inattentive afterward: my plate wasn’t cleared, no one offered dessert or asked if I wanted anything else, and the check was brought while I was still sitting and reading, with the payment machine placed directly in front of me. Overall, the experience felt disconnected and not very welcoming, especially given how quiet the restaurant was.

I have been visiting Moku Sushi restaurant for the past two years, and I must say it’s absolutely delicious! The food is incredibly tasty, the place is exceptionally clean, and the service is top-notch. One thing I really appreciate is that they offer happy hours, which is a fantastic bonus. The variety of sushi options they have is impressive, and each dish is prepared with great attention to detail. Whether you’re a sushi aficionado or just looking to try it for the first time, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend it!

Chanced upon dining at this restaurant was pleasantly surprised they have a small menu of Thai food too. Ambience wise is your old school American sushi decor, however don’t let it fool you because the food and service were above expectations. After trying the lobster roll, I went ham and ordered the OTORO,seared salmon truffle, crunchy spicy tuna & Uni (Santa Barbara sea urchin) it was so delicious. Last but not least, the lead waiter name Bank highly suggested to try the “Drunken udon” and I was happy I took the chance of this fusion dish done so right! Udon was Q, texture was chewy had a slight bounce, crispy tofu gave it a complex texture with a dimension of sensations when eaten! Highly recommend Moku Sushi!

We stumbled upon this restaurant after visiting the Lake Shrine and came during their happy hour. The food was pretty good. We ordered a variety of items, from shrimp tempura, octopus salad, and gyozas to a Sapporo beer. We would definitely come again.

10/10 best sushi I’ve ever had. I’m from the east coast so I don’t have much to go off of but this place was amazing, and the happy hour deals were a steal. Definitely would come back here.
