This is our favorite new place. The food was wonderful. The service was great. Everything came out on time, hot and tasty. We had my son’s birthday here and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made. I had to add a little bit of salt to the guacamole and then it was top shelf. Even our two vegetarians in the family got exactly what they needed. The kids loved it. The grandparents loved it. Everyone loved it. We will be supporting this restaurant.

I’ve been to El Caporal a handful of times and haven’t had a bad experience ever. The servers are very attentive and friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are comparable to other local restaurants. I’ve had chicken and shrimp dishes and the meat has been very tender. The chorizo is great, not too greasy, and delicious.

This is our favorite spot in Durant. We have been many times and tried several different dishes. The Birria tacos are amazing! My favorite is the Cali Burrito and Pollo El Caporal. Queso is the best in town! Staff is very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is clean and usually decorated for the holidays. Menu is large and bar drinks are tasty and strong! My kiddo loves everything on the kids menu.

This is our 6th time here and I very rarely give 5 star reviews, but this place goes above and beyond every time. The food is always fresh and delicious, the staff is amazingly friendly and the place is always clean.

This is our first time eating here…..the food was fresh and very tasty. The only thing is the salsa definitely can be better, tastes like manufactured salsa, not fresh. The service and atmosphere were good. It was a little pricey compared to other similar establishments.

awesome, fast service. SO MANY options for dinner, lunch, and bar drinks. i had the enchiladas mexicanas, my husband had the carne asada tacos and carnitas tacos. everything was great and we will be back!

We ordered chilaquiles verde & cheese enchiladas verde to-go, both were delicious! Rice & beans were flavorful too!
Only downside was the chips for the chilaquiles were soggy by the time we ate them. It takes a certain sturdy tortilla chip to hold up, unfortunately they missed the mark. But the verde sauce made up for it. Not spicy to our liking but that’s okay.
We’ll be back when in Durant again.

The food was okay. The customer service was lacking took forever to get the bill and to pay. The food was descent, I would even say just ok. The atmosphere was ok. Over all I’d give this restaurant about 2.6 stars.
