We stopped in La Brasa Mexican Grill on our way home from a week of camping , hiking and kayaking in The Nantahala Forest. I ordered a Torta Asada (steak) and my husband got 3 Al Pastor Tacos (pork and pineapple).
Our food was ready in 10 minutes. We had our 4 dogs with us and it was a very hot day, so we stood at a table in the parking lot near our open car, to eat our feast. Everything was fresh, carefully prepared and piping hot. We really enjoyed every bite. There were so many great flavors and textures.
About halfway through eating my sandwich, I went back inside to order our dinner for later in the day. I checked out other customer’s food and decided on the Whole Roasted Chicken with Pinto Beans and Mexican Rice. It was served with fresh made tortillas and green and red salsas. The Roasted Chicken was cut into 10 pieces for easy sharing. The owner brought our dinner food out to us. It was carefully packaged for a long ride home.
We savored every bite at our meal later that same night. The Chicken was cooked perfectly and was well seasoned. It was juicy and the skin was crispy and delicious. The pinto beans were full of flavor.
We live 90 minutes away but will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu. It’s right across from the Tractor Supply in Franklin, NC. Don’t miss out on this delicious food. I’m already looking forward until next time.
We met the owner, 2 servers and the chef. They were all professional, friendly and happy to have us at their new restaurant. We wish La Brasa Mexican Grill many years of success. At only 3 weeks in business, they are already doing a fantastic job.
