Looking for lower cost options in South beach for an 8 day vacation & while exploring? I found Holy Guacamole. I’m gluten intolerant but I got lucky! Corn tacos can’t tolerate lemon or lime either, but he suggested fresh lettuce

Hole in the wall restaurant which I like. Great for locals who want a quick & not too expensive meal. I ordered the basic steak burrito. It said it was $11 on the menu but I paid $14.23. Not sure how that happened, but I didn’t let it stop me. The burrito was okay. Maybe would have been better if I asked for sauce which I’m sure they had. The size was pretty good. I’ve been here before and liked the food. This time the experience was pretty average. I’d come back but order something different.

Delicious shrimp tacos with two good sized shrimp each topped with tangy slaw and fresh cilantro. I don’t know if it’s a Miami thing but the tacos only had one tortilla. A fork is needed or it’s messy eating a wet tortilla. In New York City they use two tortillas each.

I went here for post workout food. I ordered the bowl because non wheat flour options were not available. I was hoping for corn tortilla tacos. But the bowl was filling. The location is kinda small for Washington Ave in South beach. There are a few spots to sit inside , but not for any decent sized crowd. But the bowl was pretty good. It filled me up before I could finish it. I had both beef and port added to the bowl so double meat as usual. I do recommend

There are lots of places to eat at South Beach but few that make you want to keep going back. The flautas had me returning back to Holy Guacamole… so good . The atmosphere gets one less star because there isn’t much seating inside… but I would happily stand and eat.
