Consistent and always what you expect. Just classic old school food with great combinations to pick from. Food is fresh not from frozen as some places. I’ve lived here since 1974 and this restaurant hasn’t changed a bit.

I wanted crab rangoons which seem to be rare in Atlantic Canada. The rangoons were very tiny and I thought they forgot the filling. There was so little filling in them, they should just be called “fried wonton wrappers” because it’s a disgrace to crab rangoons. You’d expect them to be cheap since the filling is the expensive part, but they’re $9.50. I feel like I got scammed. I also ordered sweet and sour chicken balls and chicken fried rice. I took one bite of a chicken ball and immediately spit it out. The chicken was pink and slimy. The rice was really bad too. The texture was off, it was bland, and what little flavour it did have wasn’t good. Overall it was horrendous. The crab rangoons are exorbitant and this is by far the worst chicken balls and rice I’ve ever had from a Chinese restaurant.

The rice was literally stale and the wonton soup looked really bad, I’ve never had one that looked like this. I didn’t even take one bite, 9 dollars for it too. Complete waste of money. Don’t buy here. It also smelled terrible in the store to top it off. The staff were nice just terrible quality food.

Today was my first time eating at the iconic King Lamb Chinese Food restaurant in Bible Hill Today, and I give it a huge A+. Large food size, quick service, and friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

Very dark and extremely cold – no heat in the place. Other customers mentioned how cold it was as well. They need to up date the restaurant. The food was good but I would say the sauces were not homemade as advertised. Spring roll had meat in it when I expected only vegetables. But the food was hot.

Excellent food. Price is a bit high, $23 for a combo but it was delicious.

Anytime I order here, it’s been rather good. Good price for the amount, and not bad for Canadian Asian.
I also found a newspaper article from 1963, the features them. (Even with the same number)

I was so excited to come here since I was in the area. BUT ….Food was blah….no idea how it came so fast but the rice was lukewarm, not much flavor. . Got an extra egg roll…just to pay for next to no filling, that little filling in it was mushy, and the egg roll wrapper was burnt….Very poor oil used to fry the egg rolls it would seem. Gingerbeef was battered but keep falling apart in the sauce and tasted stale. Service was good but I knew I had to hurry as I showed up at 140pm to discover dine in ends at 2pm….probably should have just went elsewhere but missed this place and the food once the pandemic shut it down in 2020. Won’t be back as the quality is gone.

I’ve been getting my Chinese takeout from King Lam for many years now. The food is always ready quickly, well priced, and tastes fantastic. I’ve tried every chinese place in Truro and King Lam is at the top of the list.
