I grew up in Seattle- have eaten at other Blue Water Grills. The experience was great.. I’m wondering if this location at the Seattle Center thinks maybe you’re a tourist and don’t know Mexican food should be hot? We stopped by before Dave Chappell show and got cold food. The flavor was good but the fact that the food was well below room temperature was shocking.. so we asked if they could just zap it in a microwave.. we waited.. in the meantime our companions met us at the table with steaming hot food from a fish and chips place nearby. So finally to their credit ..it appears the restaurant recooked the dishes..unfortunately it was still no where near hot perhaps luke warm which is worse than cold. Very weird and bad experience. Also ..my advice.. don’t tip at the cash register.. wait until after you see if your food is edible .. my bad.

Went last night before Dave Chappell at Climate Pledge and it was not even on the level of stadium food. We ordered 2 blood orange margaritas and the steak nachos.
Nacho cheese was cold and processed from a bag. The steak was the only saving grace and there wasn’t much of it on top for almost $20. There were sides of guacamole, salsa, sour cream and that saved it. The blood orange margaritas were okay. The mix didn’t taste like blood orange at all. The equivalent of concession food at a recreational football game. Definitely not fresh. Service was fast and the ppl were nice, but the food was awful.

What a horrible eating experience. Fried fish sticks canned black beans rice was probably packaged. Not fresh at all. Lacked seasonings. SAUCE was flavorless. No taste of Sriracha. Guy at the counter was inattentive and was busy with his phone. Margaritas are from a machine it was the only thing with a kick.
Don’t bother with this location.

Not great not terrible. They have a simple selection of meal, but it tastes good and food is prepared quickly. I had a bowl, I got 3 sauces, it tasted good, but it was not enough. I was still hungry. In terms of price, it is cheap by local standards.

After lots of walking and sun at the Folklife Festival, we were looking forward to a sit-down meal indoors and thought the Blue Water Taco Grill inside the Armory sounded good. There’s no table service, you place your order, then pick up the food in the opposite corner of the restaurant, along with self-serve utensils and napkins. We got nachos to share and two-orange margaritas.
We wouldn’t go back. The “nachos” were warm (apparently microwaved) chips with gooey queso poured over, with a small mound of ground beef and some chopped tomatoes and onions, with little sides of sour cream, salsa, and guacamole, all served on a paper plate on a cafeteria tray. The margaritas ($11 each) were not individually mixed (served out of a big dispenser), and were served in flimsy disposable plastic cups. They presumably had tequila in them but honestly it could have been any kind of alcohol. It tasted a lot like spiked pink lemonade to me. (My husband called them “plastic margaritas” .) We paid $38 for everything.
We sat at a picnic table (yes, indoors), but there were also regular tables and chairs available, as well as outdoor seating. It was essentially a fast food place in the guise of a restaurant. While we were glad to get out of the sun, and the meal did fill our stomachs, next time I’d choose to eat somewhere else.

Stay away! If I could give it a zero I would! We were looking for some “Fresh Mexican” as their website boasts. It was HORRIBLE! The “queso” was the yellow, thick, NASTY ball park cheese from a can. The beans were dry as was the rice. The chips were edible…I guess. They don’t bring your food to you, a workers YELLS out your number from the other side of the place and if you don’t arrive in 5 seconds they become irritated and yell even louder. Could not be more disappointed in a meal!
Just close down if you’re not going to even try!!!

Located within the armory, Blue Water Taco Grill is probably one of the better places to grab a bite. I ordered the shrimp taco plate. The eating experience can only be described as “messy,” the utensils were small and the rice was dry, whereas the beans were really wet. The tacos also were messy, but they tasted good. The price was high considering the amount of food that actually was on the plate. Usually I’d get at least 3 tacos for this price. That said, it was probably some of the better food around the Seattle Center, and the price probably reflects the location.

This taco place was great to check out and it is inside the Armory with many food options. Their tacos were very fresh when I ate and had many options to choose from!

Disappointing, overpriced and lukewarm. We love the Queen Anne avenue Blue Water Taco, so chose to go here with our grandson. The first 4 words of this review say it all
