This was my first trip back to Pho House in over a year – I could kick myself for taking so long between visits, I love the place. My Vietnamese pal had Bun Thit (grilled pork & rice vermicelli) and she loved it. I had the summer rolls with shrimp for a starter (very good but I’ve had better) then went with the Pho Tai Bo Vien (with eye round steak and meatballs) as my main, I inhaled and slurped every single drop. Pho House is a real treasure in the neighborhood. I won’t wait so long this time to return.

Had the Pho Tai Bo Vien (round eye and meatball). The meatballs and round eye were very good. The broth and noodles were just ok, however. I also had the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, which was neither very strong nor sweet (should be one or the other). It gets the job done but could be better.

The Pho was delicious. The meat portion for the chicken was good. There was one server but she seemed to have it all under control.

I genuinely never write reviews but I have to because this is genuinely one of the best pho spots in the dc area by FAR!!! easy quick delicious and good price. Be sure to get there for dinner on the earlier side as it actually fills up and its very mom and pop so be easy on the staff! love them and will be going back again and again

Great service! Food came out piping hot in less than 10 minutes. I had veggie spring rolls and my son had the shrimp pho. Both were delicious although I personally could’ve used more flavor in the pho. Love the decor and was able to find street parking right out back. Mind you, it was the middle of the day on a Friday. Wasn’t too busy inside but the ambience and music was nice.

With the weather beginning to get colder – what better time to start exploring to find great Pho restaurants in the DMV.
My friend and I decided to try Pho House because of its very central location, and also because of its great reviews.
Overall, the food was delicious and the we were able to add extra meats and make substitutions to our orders which was great.
The broth that I had with my Pho was very well made. The flavours were substantive, as were the meats that were in the dish.

Not terrible, but nothing to write home about. Good place for a quick bite. I’m vegan, so I got the tofu summer rolls and tofu & veggie vermicelli noodle bowl. The noodles were basically a stir fry dish, which was disappointing. I was hoping for a traditional Vietnamese vermicelli bun dish with the cold plain noodles, cold raw veggies, fried tofu, and sauce. The stir fry didn’t have any distinguishable Vietnamese flavors like lemongrass, basil, cilantro, mint, etc. I actually liked the summer rolls more because they had basil & mint.
The staff are very nice though, so that was good.

Really yummy! We got the Pho Tai and the shrimp summer rolls. The rolls were great! The steak was cut nice and thin while the broth was delicious and tangy. Very filling but not heavy.

Not a big fan, sorry Would love to say something different but I wasn’t a huge fan. The meatballs in my Pho were rubbery and I had to order different meat . Going to have to pass on this one next time.

I believe this restaurant is over rated.
Prices are great, but the taste is so so for me. The banh mi tasted like something the Subway chain would’ve made… which is actually shielding they havent yet already. The shrimp spring rolls were ok but just lacked that fresh flavor complexity im used to with Vietnamese food (e.g. lemongrass herb, cilantro, fresh crunchy carrots, vinegar, etc)
Service was very friendly and accurate!
