So I’ve been craving tripe and King Prince BBQ was the first place I went to today, but sadly they didn’t have any but the owner suggested I go to Tripe City since it was less than 5mins away! 2mins away, I arrived to an overflowing parking lot so I parked on the street and when I walked in there were 2 customers(1m/1f waiting for their orders)…I go to the counter where I can clearly see/hear an older female cooking, male helping & and kid in a high chair needing attention, so try to be considerate and patiently stood there for 5mins !! I finally bend my head down to the opening and inquired if I can place an order…this woman yelled at me as if I interrupted her day!! Since I didn’t have time to find a 3rd restaurant, I ordered and waited about 15mins-within this time, 2customers came and walked out bc no one acknowledged them, then a 3rd one picking up his food tells me that the woman is very rude and has no customer service! I absolutely agree especially bc my sammich was actually good(the breading was very seasoned, but reminded me of fried chicken and I could barely tell it was tripe bc of all the breading…I SMASHED it & it was )…Look, if an establishment can accept Apple Pay then the owner can definitely learn to be a lil more customer service oriented ♀️

This place need to be closed down I kept saying the last time is the last time never post a bad review but now it’s time. I came to this restaurant drive 45 miles when it listed as open to get over here and the lady told me she is closed and she will not open just for one tripe sandwich. Horrible place

Service was great and courteous. Small place not made to dine in, no tables only chairs. I ordered the tripe combo it came with fries and a drink ( can soda ). My tripe was freshly cooked, crispy, seasoned nicely, and my bread was fresh as well! I would recommend this place for best tripe in St.Louis!

July 11,2025 about 3pm,I was visting family in the city so i looked up Tripes Sandwiches.I called this place snd got no answer,then the young man called me back so i place an order for 2 tripe sandwiches and the price was $19.76 so my daughter goes and pick our food up and i was very disappointed because it wad like a bunch of crust no meat.This place frys the tripe too hard and all there eas really was crust no meat I like meat in my tripe and yhe pull of the meat is everything.Will not be returning because this place frys the tripe too much and sll yhere was really was bread and crust.

Went to Tripe City today and there was an older gentleman that was waiting for his food. I waited about 5 minutes and I could see a man and lady working in the back. I tapped on the counter, no response. I waited and then tapped on the glass. This elderly woman who I saw working in the back came to the window asking who was knocking on the window? I told her that I wasn’t sure if they knew I was there. She proceeded to tell me that they heard me and she gets irritated when folks knock on the window. I politely told her that was not my intent and I get irritated when folks are disrespectful towards me when I’m spending my money in their establishment. Needless to say, I left without ordering and WILL NEVER patronize them AGAIN!!

I ordered a tripe sandwich. The breading & crust was flavorable but there was barely meat in the crust. All I was eating was crust. When I called back to complain, I got the same message everybody else got. Something about us know next time when your food is not right. Why would I have to let you know next time when I am notifying now. Went back a second time, meat in the tripe was boiled, taste like they fried unboiled tripe and made a sandwich. I have given up on them.

Omg, I just can’t. How can u serve people food that u wouldn’t eat yourself. The tripe wasn’t bad but I didn’t like the coating and there were 3 pieces put together to make a sandwich.
My actual complaint is the buffalo fish. When I saw it I wanted to cry. Like why are u serving this. It’s not cooked all the way, it’s not hot, the fins are still attached, and it had a smell to it. There was no way I was gonna eat this.
The slaw was out of a container. I ate the fries and thru away everything else.
Again…I need to cook my own food at home.
