Had a terrible experience FIRST OF ALL it’s called “Happy hour bar and Grill” but where the grill at???
They serve no food, no water, no fountain drinks nor draft beer I mean it’s as if someone went and got a liquor license for their garage. The service was terrible the bartender was consistently on her phone and gossiping about patrons. My friend was verbally disrespected by a guest and the bartenders response was “if he didn’t put his hands on you there’s no reason to cry about it” and went on to say that that was the owners “Chrissy’s” son like that meant he could just do and say whatever to everyone. I will never spend money at this establishment again and I will advise all my friends and family to do the same.

Yesterday was supposed to be a fun Super Bowl experience at a new place.. instead it was the opposite of fun. I was enjoying the game and got up to use the bathroom and a drunk patron had cursed at me, I went up to the bar to let my friend know and the bartender Gabby overheard and immediately was saying that it was the owners son and if he put his hands on me okay but he’s allowed to call me names and told me don’t “cry about it” same bartender who gossiped to me about a man who walked in and didn’t say hi to her, even made the comment about how he had to wait five minutes to get served now. Very uncomfortable and unnecessary as well as unprovoked.

First Encounter Experience

I’ve never been to Happy Hour Bar & Grill in my life before tonight, October 19, 2025. I didn’t even know it existed until a high school friend told me to go there. This was my first time ever, and what should’ve been a simple night out turned into one of the most humiliating experiences I’ve ever had.

Today was an especially hard day for me—I found both of my parents deceased. My friend was supposed to connect with me to lift my spirits, to be there for me after such a devastating moment. Instead, he never showed up. I went to this bar hoping to just have a moment of normalcy and maybe a little human connection, and what I got instead was embarrassment and disrespect.

I walked in polite, smiling, and even told my friend on the phone, “She seems nice, she seems cool.” That impression could not have been further from the truth. The bartender, Gabby, looked at me like “what does he want?” She had this sharp, dismissive, almost sneering energy that immediately made me feel unwelcome. It wasn’t just dismissive—it was like she was daring me to make a mistake, like she wanted some kind of drama, maybe even to call the police.

I was polite, calm, and respectful the whole time. I was lost, I didn’t know the place, and I hadn’t been home in years—I’m from Los Angeles, California, I’ve worked with billionaires, and I’m used to navigating all kinds of people—but nothing could prepare me for this level of rudeness and hostility from someone I’ve never even met.

After sitting quietly, minding my business, she called me out loud in front of everyone, scolding me for not paying a $2 minimum while I was drinking water she herself provided. I asked her politely to step aside so we could talk privately, but she refused, keeping the whole interaction loud, public, and humiliating. I left there feeling embarrassed, singled out, and unwelcome, and that’s not how anyone should be treated.

This was my first experience ever at that bar, and it was beyond awful. It felt intentional—like she was trying to provoke me, make me feel small, or create drama. I came in with good energy, trying to survive an extremely painful day, and left hurt, shocked, and disrespected.

THE HAPPY HOUR BAR & GRILL

Best damn bar & grill downriver. The Happy Hour House Burger is the best burgers in town. Sam the cook is sure to satisfy your taste buds with her famous “sliders” too and other delicious appetizers. Drinks don’t disappoint either. Check them out!

Worst service I ever had. First one we went to order drinks the very tall slender bartender acted as if we were putting her out. Then we were going to order food but according to the bartender she stepped out for a little bit. So decided to play keno while we waited and after 15 minutes the cook never came or even thebarmaid even after waiving the keno papers in the air calling out “excuse me…miss”. By the way only 7 people in the bar and 4 were playing pool. SO DISAPPOINTED. Was looking for a place near home to frequent.
