I got a beef stirfry – the beef was so tender – enormous portions.
The chicken and beef are halal which is a bonus.
Will definitely return.
We ordered 3 starters chicken, skewers, belly pork and spring roles. All were just beautiful. The belly pork isn’t my usual taste but it was my favourite dish of the night. The dipping sauces that acompany the food were all differed yet all delicious.
My husband had a grilled chicken for his main and I had the chicken, noodle, beansprout stifry (there was so much of it).
All the food was hot when arrived and honestly we couldn’t fault anything. The atmosphere was great for a Saturday early evening.
We are already looking to come back with the family next week. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Also, it was nice to see a spice chart on the menu as this was something it missed at the very beginning. Very pleased with the experience this time and will be coming back more often.
My review is very forgiving despite my less than great experience.
I came in at 6pm and got my drinks within 10 minutes, but didn’t get asked for food for 40 mins and then got it an hour and 25 minutes into my booking. Then they forgot my cutlery and when I went to ask the bar staff, he disappeared for 5 minutes and came back after saying they’d run out and he had to wash themselves. I was still missing one of my starters so I asked someone about it, she wrote down what I was missing and that was it, I didn’t even get an answer as to whether I was getting it or not (the manager took it off the bill at the end).
The only reason I’m forgiving is because despite my food being so spicy due to my misinterpretation of the menu description (which I think could do with a chilli chart to help), it was delicious and my seafood was perfectly cooked, and the staff were so apologetic due to it being quite chaotic with them being fully booked.
I’ll come again as it was only 2 days in, I really did enjoy the food and the staff were trying their best and so polite. I just hope it’s more organised next time!
⏰ We dined on Sunday (bank holiday at 5PM). Booked table; relatively quiet. We (2 adults, one teenager) sat upstairs facing the staircase – not the best table. We had a view of the air conditioning units. Could you put a mural on the mirror or wall outside?
Parked directly outside. Welcome was okay; could be more excited to see us, however, we know it’s all about the food.
Great selection. Have been to Thailand 15+ times and very familiar with the spices, dishes and traditions. This does not disappoint! Som Tum salad was perfect We ordered starters, 3 mains and sides, plus x2 rounds of drinks. Spent £113.
Feedback If I could make some suggestions help improve (knowing that it Yang has just opened, and systems will evolve), I would recommend:
1) Waitress didn’t know the drinks menu; plus no drinks menu on the table.
2) Prawn crackers need a dipping sauce
3) Menus were used, worn and stained with food and glass rings.
4) Use towel napkins; not paper.
5) Provide a pot of cutlery on the table to use.
6) Ask waitresses to recommend dishes and no. of dishes to order; they were bigger portions than expected. Advise diners that the ‘Thai way’ is sharing plates. Maybe tell a story?
7) Sometimes staff were standing about waiting; maybe they could clean under the tables; stand back and watch diners; not be on mobile phones.
8) Provide some food and drink recommendations for children.
9) More considered music.
Cannot wait to come back! Congratulations
Also partner found the sirloin rather fatty in places and had to keep discreetly removing from his mouth with his napkin. Otherwise the food was very good, tasty and staff very attentive.
More downstairs toilet facilities required as had to queue both times throughout meal . Hazardous steps if have had alcohol and need to use said facilities
