Great value for your money here, the deep fried fish is made to order so everything is just fried. Simple place with a lot of history and always a great deal. Bonus: for dessert go next door to Simone’s for some donuts.

Hidden Gem Alert! This place feels like the last of a vanishing species: the true mom-and-pop shop. The moment I walked in, I felt that familiar pang of recognition: something only children of immigrants might understand. There’s a look to it, unmistakable: the storefront window with its slightly uneven finish, the fridge in the corner where you’re trusted to help yourself to a drink, the owner who is both cashier and cook, moving seamlessly between roles with the ease of someone who has built their life around this place, the old manual register till that doesn’t suggested tips starting at 20%…. Just incredible food served on a humble dixie plate. And, of course, the quiet generosity; this is the kind of business that sponsors the local little league team without forms, applications, or committees. Just heart and an honorable plaque with the team picture to show for it.
When my fish taco arrived, I surprised myself by tearing up. The batter was perfectly crisp, the vegetables freshly cut by hand…. each piece even only in the most human way, and the fries golden and crunchy. The food was more than good; it was grounding, nostalgic, even moving. It tasted like care, like memory, like a small miracle served on a plate at a price you can actually afford. CASH only!
Shops like this are disappearing, but this one is still here, and for as long as it is, I’ll keep coming back.

The couple that run this place are so kind and good at what they do. The food is amazing here and well priced. They have a great daily special for$9.50 as of 11/2025 that includes 2pc of fish, 3pcs fried zuchinni, cup of very good coleslaw and a healthy portion of fries. The batter on the fish and zuchinni is light and airy, very crispy and exactly what you crave when thinking of fish and chips! They have a great tartar sauce and malt vinegar to go with it. The one thing I really appreciate about this place is they automatically bring you everything you need to dress up your plate when eating in. A great place overall that just hits the nail on the head!!

We had the “big ben” 4-piece fish and chips. The fries were crisp and delicious. 4 large portions of delicious fish with tasty crisp batter. Inside the restuarant is clean and the gentleman who cooked our meal was very friendly. Good price & delicious food.

I feel bad for the 3 stars because the fish is great and the price is amazing. However, the wait was really long. The system they have for ordering is inefficient and they still make you wait at the back of the line even if you’ve ordered ahead. Also, seasoned French fries at a fish and chip shop is a little odd.

Best value in fish and chips we ever seen.
We came in hungry after a workout and got a 12 piece family meal. Everything came out crispy and the boys told me it’s the best fish and chips they ever had. I have to agree as well. We will definitely be back when we’re in the area. Too good to pass up

High quality fish and ingredients and well made & very consistent. Village is beloved by neighborhood locals and is a classic fish & chips spot. I often get their sandwiches; pastrami, turkey, roast beef or ham.

Ordered 2 piece fish and chips, and 4 piece shrimp. Delicious light batter. Tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were tasty. Lady taking my order on the phone was a bit short but that’s okay, they’re busy!
