We heard good things and decided to try for ourselves. Exceeded our expectations! Great service, friendly staff, and the food…..special was a Ruben and it blew us away, absolutely melt in your mouth goodness! The BBQ, Bacon, Ranch Burger was delicious down to the last bite! Will be back for sure, especially if they have the Ruben again!

After a long day at Denali, our group could not decide which restaurant to stop at on the way back to Anchorage. We’re very glad we picked Houston Lodge.
Everything was sublime. We got two burgers, clam chowder, gumbo, buffalo wings, the ribeye, and the peach cobbler, which was probably too much food for a group of 4. The burger was one of the best I’ve ever had!
Prices were fair, portions were massive, the service was very friendly, and there was even live music! Our only regret was overstuffing ourselves because the food was just too good to stop.

We really enjoyed the food. Great burgers and chicken (very tender and delicious) artichoke melt sandwich. The fries are seasoned perfectly. Staff was really friendly, delivered great service and fast good food. Awesome pickles.

After seeing many Facebook posts of their food, my wife and I finally made it out there to try it. We weren’t disappointed. The prime rib was excellent. The cheesy potatoes were absolutely delicious too. We look forward to going back soon to try other menu items that all looked really good.

Totally relaxing atmosphere, I love spending a summer afternoon sitting on the deck watching the Ducks in the pond while enjoying a cold Beer and eating a delicious Cheeseburger from their great menu. Terry is a very good cook and takes pride in his preparation and presentation.

Had dinner here tonight for the first time since the new owners took over. I had the “Patriot” and mom had the “Chuckwagon”. Both were delicious. Perfectly sized and prepared. I love that your portions are more appropriately sized. No one needs more than a 1/4 lb burger and the fry portion was reasonable. The Burg sauce is delightful. Everything was clean and comfortable! They also have bands on the weekends sometimes. Go check it out, you won’t regret it.

Serious contender for best burgers in state (I’m a born and raised local so I’ve tasted my fair share). If not all, then most of the ingredients and food seemed made/prepared in house. The burg sauce was delectable. Not to mention the server Courtney doing just the gosh darn best. Highly recommend making this a spot for some amazing quality food for very reasonable prices!
