Pretty Penny is such a gem in downtown Phoenix. The food is absolutely beautiful, both visually and flavor-wise. Everything we tried was vibrant, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. They also run really exciting specials, which makes each visit feel fresh and fun.

The menu is made up of internationally inspired small plates that are creative and not over-thought. Each dish is flavor-forward, beautifully composed, and well executed, with global influences that keep things exciting. You can really taste the care and quality behind every plate, it’s elevated, but still approachable and fun.

The bartender is creative, friendly, and clearly knows their craft. The vibe is lively and stylish. Most of the seating is high-tops, which I personally didn’t mind at all, but it’s something to note if you prefer standard tables.

Overall, a great spot for excellent food, drinks, and energy. I’ll definitely be back.

This is one of my all time favorite places to go in phoenix. The menu is seasonal which I really appreciate because everything seems to be packed full of flavor. They offer caviar at cost and have rotating specials. It’s a smaller space, intimate and welcoming; perfect for date night or a girls dinner. On top of the incredible food, which I keep coming back for – the staff is stellar and the hospitality is a 10/10. The cocktail menu has some really innovative takes on classics that are sure to impress even the pickiest of drinkers. (*do yourself a favor and try the Pretty Penny Martini or the Citrus Vesper!)

I just can’t say enough great things about this place, it truly is a gem in the heart of downtown phoenix.

Really cool vibe at this small but fun venue. The menu is concise but covers the bases well. Every dish was delicious and we shared everything between the four of us. The AF offering was delicious as well. $125 per person but food ultra quality enforced the prices.

Ate here for the first time this week and it was outstanding. Our waitress Sam was amazing and got us excited about everything on the menu. We wound up ordering 8 of the smaller dishes because to share and it was a trip to flavor town. I want to return to try out some of the carnes and will definitely be taking lots of local and visiting friends here in the future!

Yesterday was our first time at Pretty Penny, celebrating my birthday, and let me tell you—we will absolutely be back. If you love imaginative flavors, layered textures, and dishes that play beautifully together, this place will quickly become your go-to spot. We did a few of the smaller plates, just so we can try as many things as possible. The menu changes so I can’t wait for next time to see what other surprises this place holds. Big kuddos to the chef and his team, because all I can say is wow.

Caleb was our server and he was phenomenal—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely added to the experience. The cocktails were a delightful surprise, each with a unique twist that set them apart.

The atmosphere is intimate and inviting, making it perfect for date night, with cool music that completes the vibe. Reservations are highly recommended since the space is fairly small.

We can’t wait to return.

Fabulous experience here! The cocktails were fantastic -I loved the yuzu one. Caleb (sp?) helped us pick fantastic dishes from each section. The staff worked as a team, were extremely helpful, and answered all of our questions as first time visitors. We met the owner and found the atmosphere cozy and romantic.

I came for the first time. Pretty Penny is nothing short of stellar. It is genuinely one of the best restaurants of any type I’ve eaten at in the entire country.

The cappelletti was incredible. Texture was perfect. The sauce was thick, super flavorful, and a little sweet. I wish I could have this pasta every day

The branzino was the best cooked branzino I ever had. Most times at least part of the fish is overcooked, but not here. The entire fish, head to tail, including the small thin piece by the tail, was perfectly cooked. The sauce was incredible.

Service was great, and everyone is super nice and helpful in giving suggestions and explaining the dishes.

I would legitimately come to Phoenix from several states away specifically to come here.

A simple, fun, elegant cocktail bar and restaurant. The martinis are where it’s at! Austin was informative and gracious guiding me through his favorites, but it was his tomato & basil inspired cocktail that was the no. 1 hit for me. Exceptional! Sorry, I forgot your name (one of the owners) but you better keep Austin around! You guys are awesome! Food was light, layered, dynamic and approachable. Also they made their own wine up north in AZ… and it was really good!

Had an amazing experience at Pretty Penny. The service stood out right away — everyone was friendly, attentive, and actually seemed to care that we were having a good time.

We started with the welcome toast. I had the non-alcoholic prosecco, which was surprisingly refreshing. The sourdough boule came out warm, buttery, and honestly kind of addictive. The marmalade they served with it was super unique and something I’d come back for on its own.

The octopus tostada was a hit. Perfectly soft, well-seasoned octopus with great flavor. The lamb ragu was fantastic, and the branzino… easily the best I’ve had in a long time. Cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and just one of those dishes you think about after you leave.

Highly recommend this place. Great food, great service, and everything tasted fresh and intentional. Will definitely be back.

We loved everything about this restaurant! We had the pork. It was $140 for a serving for 2. Pricey but so worth it! We’ll definitely order it again! We also had the lamb ragu, caviar, octopus tostada, and a couple other small plates. Everything was five star worthy! Sam was our waitress. She was extremely knowledgeable about the details of the food on the menu and in all culinary aspects as well. She engaged with my son who has a passion for fine dining and cooking the entire time we were there. Five stars for Sam! We dine out a couple times per week and the Pretty Penny is hands down, the best food we’ve ever had!
