I visited my parents in DFW for my birthday, and as a pizza lover they wanted to take me to Mountain Mikes Pizza. This is a pizza parlor chain we used to visit regularly when we lived in Northern California, and they knew it would be nostalgic for me.

While the location wasn’t extremely close to us (40min away), the interior was very clean, and it was obvious that this establishment was relatively new. The staff was friendly, and the ordering process was painless.

Unfortunately, the order receipt machine that relays orders to the back ran out of paper and for some reason even when they replaced the paper the system isn’t set up to print those orders stuck in limbo. We had been out most of the day, and hadn’t eaten much because we knew this would be filling. 40min had past which we thought was a little ridiculous, and the staff actually noticed that we were still sitting without our food and they investigated.

I will say, while it took us over an hour to get our food, the staff was apologetic. They comped our meal, gave us a side of garlic knots which are super delicious. And the pizza, when it finally came out, was delicious and was even better than k remembered it.

I hope my experience was a one-off, but again, they were gracious hosts and they made the situation right.

Pizza-lovers of TX, I would strongly recommend you at least try this establishments. The sauce is incredible, and the pepperoni cups are what make it Mt. Mikes pizza. I am so excited to see them popping up here, and I would hate to see them go.

Some tips:

Try the garlic knots or the new jalapeño garlic knots. If you want a healthier option, dine-in and check out their fresh salad bar.

Cheers!!

First time eating here. It is freezing inside so you might opt to eat on their patio or bring a sweater.
The crust was great, the sauce is garlicy goodness. We had the Everest (supreme), and a cheese with pineapple. Also had the garlic sticks with cheese. Delicious! The guys behind the counter were nice and they’ve got a few claw type games. Will return or order to go.

Highly recommend! My wife and I ordered the Pineapple Chicken Luau and the original pepperoni. The chicken was super moist and there was a sweetness from the sauce. The curly pepperoni was crispy and tasty. They have a wide selection of beer on tap as well as bottled beer. The salad bar offered a wide variety of toppings, and it was super fresh! Employees were extremely helpful wherever we needed anything. The business is also kid friendly. They have two claw machine arcade games that kept our two year old highly entertained. Overall, we had a great dining experience and will be back.

Expected a lot more considering the store just opened. Went for lunch buffet, not many options to choose from. Just didn’t have a variety of pizza choices to capture “buffet ” or “new pizza restaurant “.
Many pizzas were dried out, and this was about an 1hr after opening..sauce was not distributed evenly across the pizza which again tasted dry, no seasoning in or on the crust, just a lot of bread, very little toppins on pizza, unless it was the pepperoni slice
The actual pizza slices are very tiny ..people this Texas and a buffet..
I hope you guys get better soon

Pizza was really good, but rather expensive. We got 1 specialty pizza and a small pepperoni pizza and a salad and a drink for $65. Salad bar was pretty good except for the fruit which was expired fruit cocktail like the kids snack from Dole. It smelled bad. Plenty of room and plenty TV’s to watch sports. At least 7 beer brands on tap.

Absolutely unacceptable experience.

We paid $28 for a pizza that arrived severely overcooked and borderline inedible. The crust was burnt, the pepperonis were dried out and shriveled, and the whole thing tasted like it had been left in the oven far too long. This wasn’t a small mistake, anyone boxing this pizza could clearly see it was overdone and still chose to send it out.

We kept it only because my son was hungry, resulting in a pile of un-eaten, burnt pepperoni slices, otherwise it would have gone straight back.

When we called to address it, the “solution” offered was an $8.74 coupon, basically the cost of the pepperoni topping. That’s honestly insulting. Nobody even ate the pepperonis. We paid for a full pizza and got something that should have never left the kitchen.

Mistakes happen, but how a business handles them matters. In this case, the lack of quality control and the unwillingness to make it right says everything.

For the price they charge, there is no excuse for food leaving the store in that condition.

This was our first and LAST experience with them.
We will not be ordering from them ever again.

My wife and I went there on her lunch break on Dec. 26th and got there about 11:45AM for the buffet that was supposed to start at 11. A friend of mine highly recommended this place. We got there and there was ZERO pizza sitting out for the buffet. Needless to say, we went elsewhere for lunch since her time was limited. Not a good first impression. Probably won’t be back.

my pizza was promised 15 minutes ago on their website. They handed it off to a delivery company and it just said it should arrive in the next 30 minutes (early they say). That’s not early. That’s 45 minutes late. I’m not sure why the pizza places around here are having a hard time managing times. I’ve even done carry out in the past and they are delayed. Disappointed how time management has gotten worse through the years

Very tasty pizza. My wife loves the Snowy Alps pizza. It’s hard for her to find pizza she likes – close to pulling teeth. But they will do a cream sauce for any pizza, which is awesome! Delicious!
