My new favorite spot for sashimi. I recently got the assorted sashimi 12pc on Valentine’s Day. The staff is always great and the atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect for a date night. Their matcha ice cream is probably my favorite dessert on their menu.

A must stop for sushi lovers! Based on a recommendation I ordered the seared salmon roll (only one they sear the fish I was told). Paired with a pinapple sake. It was phenomenal! The vibe is welcoming, but also feels as though you have your own space given the seating. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We had dinner here last night. We had a Spicy Salmon roll, Chief Nigiri , warm Sake, Edamame, and seaweed salad. Also friends got steamed vegetable dumplings and Volcano Tuna Roll. Everything was delicious, good portions, prices were fair. The service and staff were so friendly, attentive and helpful. They made the experience enjoyable. While we waited for our food, the waiter made sure we had water and anything else that we could want. It is very clean and new inside. My husband and friends have dined here before but this was my first time here. We will definitely look forward to going here again.

My husband and I stopped in while in town for the day. Let me say this was some of the best sushi I’ve had since moving to the Eastern NC area. Service was 10/10, quality was 12/10!! Wish we lived closer so I could eat here more often, but we will definitely be back. Saw some other plates go out and they looked just as amazing. We sat at the bar and watched the sushi chefs do their job phenomenally. Yum!

Food was really good and our server was really nice. If you like alcohol they have a pretty decent drink menu. The restaurant is a little small so it can get loud or feel a little tight if there are a lot of people dinning in. Btw the Sassy roll is amazing!!! One of my favorites I ate According to my dad this was some of the best sushi he’s had

For sushi in general, 3.5, so let’s give Kuma 4 !
Miso soup (Excellent)
Seaweed salad (delicious and super fresh).
Sushi classics (Delightful but needs to be rolled better) as they were a tad lose.
Dumplings (vegetarian) are good but have to be correctly sealed, as they opened when steamed.
Specialty rolls, very good, no complaints.
Teriyaki chicken, terrible. Cold, lacked flavor, as if they threw sauce on top of some sad chicken breast, it was very disgusting, but hey, this place is a sushi restaurant.
Service (Trent or trey) good young man and attentive!
Drinks on point! Cold beers, good cocktails, and soda.
I’d definitely consider going to here if you haven’t. I will absolutely be back.
