Such an amazing place! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and everything was well seasoned. The customer service was also truly amazing. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and professional. Gustavo was the one helping us and he was more than willing to answer all the questions I had and took their time explaining the menu and giving great recommendations. We are definitely coming back!

Food is very good, only outdone by their amazing customer service. On this occasion we were lucky to be helped by Gustavo and a few ladies which unfortunately didn’t get their names. Even though they serve fish and shrimp, they have vast options on side dishes, giving you plenty of options to enjoy. This location also serves alcohol. Overall the atmosphere here is amazing. They’re consistently cleaning, and the bathrooms are spotless. Plenty of parking. Tuesdays are taco Tuesdays with cheap tacos.

The Azalea location is a fantastic spot for anyone who appreciates great food, great service, and a comfortable dining experience. Highly recommended California Fish Grill. Gustavo was attentive without being intrusive he checked in just enough to make sure everything was perfect but never hovered. It’s a small detail, but it made the whole experience feel enjoyable. It’s a fish spot but the chicken is amazing.

It was our first time eating at this establishment. The first thing we all agree we loved is how the staff was so welcoming. They introduced themselves and were very attentive as well as patient. They gave us great suggestions from the menu.
Now, let’s talk about the food!! For a “fast food” restaurant, the food was exquisite! The presentation is great. We loved the plates and the food portions as you can see are big enough. The flavor from the French fries to the fish/salmon and grilled chicken was delicious!!!

I came into The Southgate, California Fish Grill as I was leaving citadel and OMG am I so glad that I found this place. The food is amazing. The absolute best California fish Grill that I have experienced and I am a regular. Please say hi to Gustavo when you go, you’ll be so glad you did.

He said he definitely coming back and so am I. 10 of 10 presentation. I love they’re surviving the food in a flat plate like at a restaurant or home not like fast food places in plastic containers (eating in only). We were there on day 3 of training day cashier was so helpful and the management team was there greeting people. Kiddos friendly place and had different choices for none sea food eaters too.

Great fresh food, healthy alternative to the jungle of greasy fast foods, we seen chipotle next to this place but it looked very sleek and clean inside so we decided to give it a try. I was greeted by Chris after I mentioned it was my first time here. He was very friendly and informative on what was popular. When I first received my food I was very happy with all the different flavors and colors, very good plating. First bite of the battered fish was an explosion of flavor. Tastes fresh no doubt. The chimichurri sauce was surprising because it had a step above what I’m used to at home, very inspirational and educational on how I can make it at home now. Over all 10/10 coming back for sure. Spent little less than 60$ for 2 ppl. Worth the money for the freshness, healthier option.

I had honestly the best experience I’ve ever had at a California Fish Grill location today here in Southgate California. I’ve been coming to California Fish Grill since 2001 when I used to work in the city of Compton and they were always quite busy so they didn’t really have a lot of time to give you the best service, the food was amazing but the service wasn’t stellar. Today was the first time in 24 years that I was actually acknowledged by someone in either management or in service. I had a great and warm welcome by a gentleman by the name of Gustavo, I saw him welcoming everyone the in the same manner.
I saw him speak to people that spoke Spanish, people that speak English – blue-collar white collar alike, a so I told him I said I like that he did that because it sets the standard for the feeling and it’s all about the feeling. He made me feel seen we had a conversation about the restaurant, it’s history, the various locations and the sustainability of the seafood, and he spoke a little bit about the kitchen and the kitchen staff , and honestly that’s what it’s all about it’s about -humanizing the people behind the name and I felt seen for the first time of 24 years at one of your locations and it was just an amazing feeling. If this guy is not a manager yet please make him one because he has something special he’s got some sort of special charisma that you don’t see in 2025 anymore. I am going to make this my default location, no longer will I travel to Downey or Gardena, this is the one as long as Gustavo is working I will be there. Thank you for listening and I hope this gets to your team . And by the way the Atlantic Salmon was cooked to perfection! I also got a side of the shrimp scampi and a side of kale slaw and zucchini. All in all it was a great experience today.
