A hidden gem in Harrisburg! I love this place. The food is fabulous, you can tell it is made with love. I have not had anything I did not like. Portions are large, service is impeccable and the atmosphere is home like and very welcoming. If you are looking for a place that offers a bang for your buck! Progress Diner is the place! ❤️

Been driving past this place for several months saying I wanted to try it out. We stopped for breakfast today, and I am glad we did. I had steak and eggs and my girlfriend had biscuits and gravy. First, the portions were large and cooked exactly as ordered. Prices are decent. Service was out of this world. Great little diner!! Will definitely return.

My dad and I decided to come here for dinner, when we entered the building the place looked clean. We were greeted by one of the chef’s there and he was very polite and welcoming, that night they were short staffed so he also had to service our table as well.
We ordered the “Onion Rings” for our appetizer and of all the onion rings I had were good or okay but the ones we had at Progress Diner were great, it had a great crisp and the batter they used was very delicious. My dad had the “French Onion Soup”; he thought it was okay and could use a little more seasoning.
For our main course I had ordered both breakfast and dinner entrees so I had the “Waffles w/ Strawberries” it was really good and I also had the “Progress Burger” and basically its a chilli cheese burger, I really enjoyed the burger especially the chilli poured over the patty.
My dad had the “Country Fried Steak w/ Baked Potato & Applesauce” and he had enjoyed everything and after I had tried a piece and I also agreed with him it was great.
We enjoyed our dinner and we do plan on coming back.
**when we first arrived there were plenty of parking but the path to the ramped walkway leading to the entrance was a bit rough. So please be careful and watch your step**

My father and I stopped here for breakfast. I got pancakes and he got an omelette . The food came out quick and it was delicious! Staff was friendly . Inexpensive for how good it was. We will definitely be returning!

This place is extremely underrated. The food is great, the service is fantastic, and we find overall it’s a good value. We’re a hockey family from NJ and always make sure to stop at the Progress anytime we’re in town for a tournament.

My first time here, but was a very nice experience. The restaurant is clean, the menu extensive for a diner, and the food quality was above what I expected.

2 words come to mind, “Neighborhood Joint”, food was good, Service was great Jaimee was Super nice and the front end staff are really friendly. Was looking for a Diner & at 1st I was taken back by the parking lot & where to go in at, but it’s a small place maybe 50 seats. Will visit again when I am in the area. Worth the stop when I am in the neighborhood.

This by far was the nastiest breakfast I have ever had. The toast is what saved me. I only came here because the wait was too long at another spot that was actually good. So we decided to come here and it was the worse decision that was made. Food was bland, no taste. The location wasn’t nice but that wouldn’t have mattered to me if the food was good. The grits were literally grains. Wouldn’t recommend.

The customer service was outstanding, and the place was impeccably clean and tidy. However, I was disappointed with the food. I stopped by for breakfast and ordered an omelet, but it was awful. It truly had no flavor at all.
