Have loved Maxine’s for years. The food is great and at great prices, especially for the portions. The atmosphere is great. The staff is always friendly and attentive.
While everything I’ve had at Maxine’s is delicious, the pancakes and waffles are simply divine. Would highly recommend them!

I literally planned my weekend around the fact I would be coming here for breakfast. The worlds most perfectly poached eggs for the eggs benny. You should eat here every time you are in town, just dont do it when Im trying to get a table.

Best place to get breakfast in Rice Lake. My friends and I have come here many times after church on Sunday’s. The food is always great. Even if the place is packed, we still get our food quick. The staff is super welcoming and friendly.

Had the Philly Steak Scramble with salsa on the side & upgraded to a piece of french toast, everything was absolutely delicious!! I will be back again & again for sure. Great portion size as well…good bang for your buck.

In the midst of troubling American times and normals, Ms. Maxine gave me hope in humanity and wholesome welcoming into her place! The food was AMAZING! Please for the life of God, the Bacon Waffle changed my LIFE! If there were more stars to give, I would. But the best part is having the owner engaging with customers, everyone that enters and exits says Good morning and good day, no matter if you are local or passing through. Ms. Maxine made sure we remembered our way back “home”. The atmosphere, the staff, other patrons……I am enamored and taken away with my first visit. This DEFINITELY will NOT be my last visit. Thank you and God Bless you all at Maxine’s!

This quaint little breakfast and lunch eatery is a fan favorite for all the locals. They have a small counter seating section, as well as booths and tables. They have most of the classic diner staples like pancakes, French toast, omelettes sandwiches, and more.
The thing that keeps me coming back is the cheese steak omelette. It’s got a good flavor and it’s a nice hearty meal.
I also recommend the breakfast wrap up sandwich for anyone that’s in the mood for a quick lite meal. The French toast is thick and fluffy.

First time eating here. We ate here for breakfast. Got the ham and cheese omelette with hash browns. Food was good and service was great. We waited a little bit because we had a party of 5. Could use a little more room for people who are waiting for a table. Felt like I was in the waitresses way a couple times.
