Cool little bar and restaurant in Decorah, IA. The service was a little slow to begin with but it was good otherwise. The food was good; I had the wings. The beer selection was great. My favorites were Home Baked (2025) by Lion Bridge Brewing and Exchanging Pleasant Trees by Dimensional Brewing Company. My wife liked Droppin’ Hops by Ten Wasp Brewing and Easy Eddy by Big Grove Brewery.

You can tell a place is good by how busy it is, and Dixie’s parking lot is always packed. My fiancé and I finally got the chance to try the food after rehearing multiple people talk about how good it was. And MAN, was it good. Best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had, no competition. The drink variety here is always great, many choices for everyone, including people who aren’t big beer drinkers. And the atmosphere is hard to beat between good music and fun lighting. The staff is great, and are genuinely happy to see you come through the doors. We’ll be bringing everyone and their mother and their mother here, and we’ll definitely be back. Go to Dixie’s… run don’t walk!!!

I ordered the Biergarten Burger and wow… it was amazing . Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. It came with crispy shoe-string style fries that were the perfect sidekick.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a laid-back dinner spot with great food, drinks, and vibes. Will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere, great service, fabulous local beer selection. The servers were excellent, knowledgeable, and engaging personalities. Priced very reasonable. Had the Buffalo wings, mild good flavor, and little dry.

Cool little bar with an immaculate vibe. Stopped in on a drizzly evening for a bite and a drink, and immediately fell in love. Friendly folks with football on the tv, good grub and a stellar beer list on tap. Wish I’d taken some pictures because the world needs to know about this gem. Worth a stop if you’re in town.

Went in on a Tuesday night and they happened to randomly serving food so hubs and I were able to enjoy some delicious burgers.
Loved the beer selection. Kinda wish we would have gone back a different time to try even more.

Dixie’s, you’re impressive! My favorite go-to spot in Decorah!! Soooo many fantastic tap options, literally something for everyone, including NA options. I love that the options are always rotating so I can try something new with each visit! Your kitchen addition has been incredible – it’s clear only the best ingredients are used and that the staff passionately cares about the delicious appetizers and meals being created! This is elevated “bar food” that doesn’t disappoint, I have loved everything I’ve ordered and you won’t find anything else that compares in Decorah! I also appreciate that you’ve kept the taproom environment with the added bonus of food. The self-service works wonderfully, no waiting, just order at the bar when you’re ready – it’s genius! All of your staff is always happy and friendly, making it a place that’s enjoyable to visit. If the parking lot is full, find a spot on the road, I promise it’s worth it!!
